The clip is strong. If you plan to use the clip, know it takes some time to stretch out, but once it does, it's a strong clip that fits well on even the thickest of jeans.
The blade is easily the best part of this knife. I own other blades in m390 and other high grade steels. 3 months in, I cut through paper with this blade today and it slid as smooth as day 1. None of my other blades have been able to go this long without needing a touch up. The finish is a great finish for using, as it covers up any scratches or dints you might get on your blade.
Opening this knife is as smooth as butter. It uses ceramic ball bearings that are held between two bushings that lock into each other to keep particles out. After the initial oiling, this knife opens and closes smoother than anything I've ever had, and I've never had to take it apart to clean it and wash the dust, dirt, and grime that normally infects my knifes.
After three months, I had to tighten up the proprietary screw that holds the lock once using the provided tool that came with the knife. It can be overtightened, so don't go nuts with it, but as long as it's tightened up there is absolutely no blade play and it's still centered absolutely perfectly.
The only possible downsides for me on this knife is that the finish on the titanium scratches easily. The titanium itself is unharmed but the finish is all sorts of scratched up on mine. Granted, I use mine alot, but it's still worth noting.
The other downside is that it's made in China. I've never had an issue with my knife, but if you do, just be aware that you may want to try to fix it yourself first.
Looks nice, poor execution.
Nice looking, great materials. Already has up/down lock play, with very shallow lock engagement. Warranty inquiry to Real Steel brings the usual response of "Send us a video, we can't send it back to China..." Video was sent, no reply as of this review date. Can't recommend this piece, and Real Steel is on the bubble due to their poor communication.
