Rockstead Corporation | SHIN-ZDP This blade is convex on both sides in the tradition of the highly praised Japanese sword. This shape is both sharp and strong, and can still slice cleanly through a sheet of paper even after 1,000 cuts through a hemp rope. Using this special blade shape is an excellent way of allowing an edge to be thick without sacrificing any of its sharpness. This knife is of preeminent sharpness. This is a durable knife with strong cutting capabilities that will last for a long time. Even when used for rigorous cutting, the blade will not bite or CATch thanks to its convex shape. Other Knives will often bite or CATch, and may acquire nicks if pulled out suddenly. This knife will scratch into a china plate so please do not use it to cut food on the plate. "SHIN" in Japanese means "trust".

I believe the Shin is that most for your money knives from Rockstead. These zdp-189 blades are stunning in every way including performance. The Shin has a good size performance blade, Handle is sooo comfortable . The action has to be used before describing. No bearings just precision washers give you the buttery smooth action that gives you a super solid lockup. I’ve handled Many… read more many custom folders that cost much more them my Shin, but none as spooth as my Shin. It’s a good looking, great handling high Precision tool. And I’ve never seen an edge cut so well hand sanded and polished to a perfect mirror finish. As far as high end folders that are users go, you can’t get better !!!!
