Good Quality, Good Price, hard to flip

William S.

I've had this knife for some time now and I like carrying it. It is slim, elegant and nicer to carry in more formal outings. I like the smooth steel and the blades fit is straight and centered in the handle. The blade lock is unnecessary but a nice feature. I have big hands and it is really too slim for me to flip open w/o positioning my fingers very shallow when I wrap them around read more the knife. If I let them fully wrap around then they interfere with the detent and won't let the blade release. I am right handed. Seriously, I think it would be easier to flip for a left hander since their fingers would wrap around the flat side and not interfere with opening. Perhaps the P801 would be easier to flip open because it has a wider handle and less interference. Anyway, I still love the knife and it's a good value.

Shocking Quality for the price

Fit and finish is absolutly superb,if You didn't know better, you'd think this was a two hundred dollar knife! At 4.16 oz,it's a !ittle heavier then some comprable knives,(I'm talking high end),but not that much(my kwaiken auto and mini crooked river weigh in at 3.29,my griptillian at 3.88)-to get this kind of quality at 40 dollars,I'll take an extra oz in weight. On the plus side, the read more stainless steel handle is about as tough as you can get,(outside of titanium),and looks killer. The blade steel is decent,(it's not m390,but didnt cost 300 dollars either),AND IT'S SO CHEAP,you don't have to be paranoid about messing it up,or losing it.And as far as that comment about being hard to flip-maybe his is,mine isn't.Mine requires NO wrist action, and is actually hard to make fail. It's not the BEST slicer I own,but it's good enough, and ut takes a very good edge.
Something about this knife I really like,I've had it several weeks now,and all my benchmades, boker plusses, and other high ends haven't seen the inside of my pocket.I have a WW Streak in bohler m390 coming tomorrow that MAY give it some competition-we'll see
PS William is right about the frame lock,it's better to position your fingers below it,but when you do that,it's butter smooth

Amazing!

This knife is really amazing and the fit and finish is spot on. It’s hard to believe this life only cost $40 when I’ve held $300 knives that are literally falling apart in my hands. It’s got good heft and the blade is razor sharp out of the box which I would also like to state is beautiful packaging.

$200 knife for $40

This knife came very sharp, good heft, and smoother then silk to open and close, easily worth more then $40

A Knife to Consider

This knife came out of the box extremely sharp and went through paper like butter! It is well built and has a nice sleek mechanical look. The only downside that I found about my knife is that I felt like the detent was a bit too strong. When I went to flip it open it didn't budge as easily and the flipper really chewed up my finger. It's also pretty slippery when wet due to its read more smooth handles. But other than that this is an awesome knife for the price and is definately a knife to consider!

This is a GREAT knife for the price. So much fun to flip and fidget with. It's got a classy look and feel to it. I have bent the clip a few times, but it can just be bent back easily. Just wish it was reverible

Sleek well built knife

Let’s start by stating the obvious, get this knife! At this price point, you cannot argue it’s not worth it. 14C28N Swedish blade steel, It came utility sharp out of the box, but I gave it another 10 minutes on the Syperdco Sharpmaker to give it a hair popping edge. Edge retention is not bad at all. With light to medium use, I haven’t needed to sharpen it in 3 weeks. Stainless read more steel handle has some weight to it, but light enough to feel comfortable in your pocket. Zero horizontal or vertical blade play, and snaps open with authority. High detent, so it will need breaking in. I’ve gotten a number of compliments on this knife, it just feels and looks premium. The only thing I don’t like is the handle can feel a bit slippery, the smooth surface does not offer much grip.

Quality knife

I received my knife today and was pleasantly surprised. The package for the knife was refined and well made. I immediately tested the blades sharpness and was satisfied with the edge and overall quality and appearance. However I received a ruike p108 without the blue beta plus lock or lanyard hole as shown in the picture. Other then that. Great knife and have already recommend it read more to people I know.

Well Constructed

Just got the knife in the mail. Packaging was great. Knife is very nice, very sharp, very comfortable in pocket. Blade seems to line up right in the middle lockup is like 65-70%. Only complaint at all would be the detent is very strong on mine. I'm assuming it will break in a bit over time, other than that its very slick, flies out.

So far, so good!

I just opened the package and started playing around with the knife a bit. (The packaging, by the way, was very nice! Very sturdy box with molded foam around the knife.) So far I am very impressed with this little knife. As an avid knife collector and outdoorsman, I see a ton of knives and this is probably the best value I've found! The blade is hair popping sharp, lock up is very read more solid with no blade play at all, and the fit and finish is excellent! So far, I only have one very minor complaint. The picture above shows the back spacer and lock being blue, but they weren't. The spacer is black and lock is the same satin as the frame.
Updates to follow after some time carrying and using it.
