Fantastic budget wharnie

I’m not sure how the other two reviewers can’t open it one handed, just hold it in your hand and push upward quickly on the thumbstud and it flies open like its assisted. One of my favorite slim edc options. Great build quality and lockup.

A beautifully engineered design failure

Despite the thumb stud (for which no proper accommodation was created on the handle) it is strictly two-handed open. The designer failed to provide for any leverage space, so the thumb stud is utterly useless.

Too bad, because the knife is otherwise excellent (and pretty). The 14C28N is wonderful mid-grade steel, the clip is great and the liner lock inspires confidence. read more It's also still salvageable as a marketable product. Just lose the thumb stud and add a nice long nail nick, and this would be an extraordinarily good slip joint at this price point.

Classy Comfort

Love how this knife feels in hand. The scale shapes and texture set this knife apart from the rest. came to me razor sharp; almost a mirror finished edge. Makes me want to consider buying other RUIKE knives.

Awesome, but...

*almost* perfect. Love the blade shape, the action, the steel, etc. Only problem I have is opening via the thumb stud, the stud is not particularly tall, and when the knife is closed, it is pressed right against the g10 of the handle, making it tough to get a good purchase on it.

Still a great knife, I'm still keeping it and recommending it. Just wish the thumb stud was either read more a little taller, or the handle material was carved out a little more.

Edit> Got out my dremel and milled out some of the G-10 around the thumb stud. Vast improvement.

Nor one handed

Just received knife and find it impossible to open one handed. It has a thumb stud but is almost impossible to get to it because of the handle design. I'll give it some time to break in but not hopeful. Wouldn't recommend.

High class folder

This design is one of my favorites, it is by far the sharpest out of the box knives I've ever bought. The lightweight slim design with the deep carry pocket clip has made this my go to gentleman's knife and often becomes my edc.

Very nice knife for the price. Slim and light with a very smooth fit and lockup. Mirror polished edge is also lovely as others have mentioned :) came sharp. The long straight edge is nice and the knife overall feels very solid. I would prefer if there was more relief between the scales and the thumb stud.

Great deal

For a budget knife I would recommend this one as it seems nicer then it is and it has great appearance that really sets it apart. I wish the thumb stud could be used for right or left handed people. It has a rare blend of and intimidation factor while also being elegant and a classy gentleman knife at the same time....all for a low price

Amazing value!

Having seen positive reviews of many of ruike's knives I thought I'd try one out. The P865 styling and materials really jumped out at me. I'm a fan of g10 for lightweight, not too sticky grip and this guy is nice and light. 14c28n steel is fine by me. Holds an edge well for normal use, and a breeze to sharpen. This knife came impressively sharp, with a full mirror polish on the read more bevel. Amazing. Fit and finish are great. There is nothing else this nice for $35. Other budget knives should be worried.

Best Ruike so far.

For an all around edc this is ruike's best effort yet. No it isn't on bearings but it will still guillotine your thumb if you're not fast enough, only slightly less smooth than the real steel metamorph (a knife with an ultra smooth needle bearing pivot). Might be the best sub $50 folder this year.
