Good blade, but gets loose after use
I've had this blade for around 2-3 weeks, and it's worked well. Comes very sharp, and nice and fast deployment. Though the first week or so of using it, aka deploying it and retracting it using the mechanism it does hurt your hand due to being very stiff. Though after a week or 2 everything gets less stiff, including the switch lever, and the safety switch. While carrying I can… read more hear the switch lever moving around, clicking up and down a bit against my phone and other things in my pocket. I have also somehow accidentally turned off the safety switch while in my pocket, and almost deployed it. Note I have not dropped this thing once, only deployed and retracted. Good blade, though if I had the money I'd definitely get one of the better ones that run you a couple hundred bucks.
Impractical and difficult to operate
Take careful note of the dimensions listed, as this is a large knife. The hand shown in the photo makes the knife look considerably smaller than it is.
Beyond the size, though, as that is purely a matter of preference, I find this OTF very impractical to use. The safety lock is a good idea for this design, as it doesn't take much force to deploy the blade, but I would prefer…

the switch be stiffer and no safety required. This is not a practical design for a one-handed knife, as I expect an OTF to be, because the safety is awkward to try to release with one hand. The blade can be extended easily with one hand, and the lever to unlock the blade is easy to press with the thumb of your knife hand, but it takes two hands (and a lot of force) to retract the blade. The small slide used to retract the blade is sharp, and the force required makes it painful to use.
This knife might be worth the money for someone just wanting the novelty of having an OTF, but it's too awkward to use to make it more than a toy for me.
Great otf for the money
Very sharp out the box with very little blade play
Great tactical knife
I love the heavy feel of this knife. It was extremely sharp out of the box. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars because the reset takes a lot of hand/thumb strength to pull the blade back. But, that's also the positive, because of the strength of the spring, it fires with great intent. Great buy for the money.
More solid then most folders
very exceptional all around. it is a great work knife and it is very safe as far as the blade solidity. the safety works very well and the slide to draw the blade back is very smooth. i have spent more on a otf that wasnt even a quarter of the quality as this. this was my second knife in a long collection and it is still one of my best hands down. as always blade hq came through… read more in very quick time. just buy it. its as simple as that
Looks great but...
The locking mechanism when the knife is fully extended out of the front is not that strong.. Extend the blade then drop it blade first even 2 feet and it will collapse with out even activating the retraction lock. So guess it's a fun toy for around $40-50 bucks but doesn't seem that solid. Guess you get what you pay for.
A really nice knife
It came today in the mail and I'm totally shocked, the quality of this knife is outstanding! Feels great in the hand, blade is super sharp with no wobble at all. Only concern is the location of the blade release,if it's dropped I'm afraid the release might get broken but other than that it's a 10 star knife on a 5 star scale! I'll definitely order another one and as always I can't… read more praise the service of Blade hq enough, thanks guys!
Good first OTF knife
This was my first OTF knife. Its built a lot better than you would think at the price point. Lockup is nice and tight with no play. Well worth $40 or so.
A work of art
This my second assisted otf knife by smith and wesson i originally bought the spear point but this one is by far my favorite there it has been a month since I have received it and just as the first one it still deploys with force, no problem with blade play, a glass breaker, and good steel for a phenomical price.
The only cons would be a tiny and awkward shaped button slide…

to retrack the blade but I've got adapt to using it one handed.
I would absolutely recommend this knife to anyone who want a low price otf that preforms well above the asking price!
