Nice knife

Got this knife the other day. I really like the copper scales and think it's cool the appearance will change over time. Lock up is good and action is good. Blade is centered and tight. Came sharper than any knife I have gotten before. I wish the spine was rounded cause I think that looks and feels cool but hey no big deal. Package was open when I got it and had a bit of crud under read more and around the pocket clip. Obviously not a brand new knife finger print on blade. These knifes come sealed because of the copper and they don't want it tarnished before you get it. I wish Blade HQ would tell you when a knife is open box. I feel it's a little shady when they don't say this. When I pay $260 for a knife I expect it to be new. The reason I am not returning it is because I'm going to put this thing to use and a little pre use did not affect the knife at all. Take note though Blade HQ, you really should give a slight discount for open box items especially when said knife is supposed to come vacuumed sealed. There are plenty of good places to buy a knife and now I will look else where before I buy from Blade HQ again.

Seriously good blade.

My only complaint is that I’ve had three (yes this is one of those knives that keeps getting sold then bought back into the collection) and all of them have had extremely soft detents. You can easily flick the knife open with little wrist. Is that an issue? No I’ve never had the knife open in my pocket. It’s solid, sharp and feels amazing in hand. It’s a rather good knife. read more

Exceeded Expectations

Wow. I didn’t expect to like this knife, but as soon as I held it, I couldn’t put it down. Fit and finish is awesome. Satin stone wash blade looks awesome combined with the very unique carbon fiber scales. S35VN blade comes wicked sharp out of the box. Secondary bevel is tight and consistent. Blade centering is spot on.
Even the stumpy pocket clip was surprisingly awesome. read more Carries great and stays in pocket without worry of slippage.

So close to perfection

Overall this is an amazing knife. Great steel, awesome blade shape, beautiful carbon fiber, perfect ergonomics, and buttery smooth action (on washers!). The lockup is early but absolutely secure and doesnt have any lock stick. I have only 2 gripes. One, the pocket clip came ridiculously tight but that was easily fixed. Second, the detent is pretty weak. After some break in time read more I can flick it out with no wrist, but a stiffer detent would be nice. Overall its a little beast of a knife.

Excellent knife perfect for EDC

This knife fits perfect in the hand and you cant hardly tell it's in your pocket even with loose fitting shorts on. The fit and finish is superb. The blade has a gorgeous satin finish with just the right amount of jimping. The blade is perfectly centered with flawless lockup. That being said there are a couple of things that I should mention. The knife was sharp out of the box but read more needed to be touched up a little to be as sharp as I like my knives. It didn't take much but I felt it was worth mentioning. Second, when I first got it the pocket clip was so tight I couldn't get it in my pocket without using two hands. After carrying it for a few days that has broken in though. To sum things up you couldn't ask for a better ECD.

Perfect EDC

After looking for a knife that had a nice carbon fiber handle along with a nice blade with a good steel I finally found it. The ergonomics on this knife are the best out of all the knives I have of this size which is alot. It fits perfect in the hand and has a nice groove to put your finger. The blade has a great shape and the stonewash like finish is great looking. I highly recommend read more this knife at this price, you won't forget it.

Superbly designed and executed. Gorgeous, pocketable EDC with amazing slicing capability, yet surprisingly robust.

My OCD tendencies tried hard to find flaws with close and considerable examination, but failed miserably. Rock solid lock up, good blade centering, razor sharp, smooth as silk action, and an excellently finished knife.

The titanium liners are thick, and lock bar blade tang interface is wide with a lot of surface area in clean straight engagement, but with perfectly early read more lock up. Lock doesn't stick, and feels as solid as a well executed frame lock.
The blade tang has a slightly arced cutout to interface with the robust stop pin.

The carbon fiber has a matte finish with good non-slippery grip texture, and the 3D milling feels fantastic in hand. It's not crazy grippy, but I never felt like I would drop it accidentally while alternating between different grips in use.

Beautiful stonewash over the perfectly ground blade. I can't say enough about this knife. It exceeded expectations, in every way.

I love the pocket clip, and while it does not contact the handle at the bend, I believe this is intentional as the retention in pocket is strong, and would be excessive if it was hard against the handle. The gap is just enough to allow it to go onto the pocket material and hold, but not difficult or pant shredding. This knife is NOT going to slip out of pocket.

Blade and handle length are almost exactly like ZT 0450, but fills the hand better than that and the Small Sebenza. Don't get me wrong. I still love and carry both of those knives, but this one is definitely a great addition.
Perfect balance and ergos for my medium sized hands.

Very strong and confidence inspiring liner lock, while maintaining liner-lock simplicity in disengagement. In my humble opinion, it compares to knives that cost twice as much in regards to materials, fit, finish, and design.
You can tell the makers of this superb knife are passionate about their work with incredible attention to detail.

For what it's worth, subjectively, I'd say it's one of the best additions to my collection in years. I could go on about the thumb stud, high flat grind, effective jimping, thumb ramp, ricasso, plunge grind, edge length, bevel, grind angles, etc... But this has already gotten too long. You'll just have to get one in hand for yourself and cut/slice/carve/etch/carry to really appreciate it.
