Great multitool substitute

Having purchased the mini ClipiTools in the past I eagerly awaited the release of this knife. I ordered one when they first hit BladeHQ and overall I am very satisfied. It holds an edge well and is easy to sharpen. The tools are useful and of good quality. I would love to see a Phillips head option in the future, and jimping on the spine as others have said. I recommend this knife read more if you need a little extra versatility but don't want to carry a multitool.

Great knife with a couple quirks

This is by no means a bad little knife. For the money, I feel like it is an excellent value. The layout is very cool, almost reminds me of a modernized Victorinox Cadet (high praise.) Even though the steel isn't high-end, the knife is very sharp and has a great slicey grind to it. The tools work very well and are thoughtfully contoured to accommodate your hand while the knife is read more in use. My two small gripes are with the liner lock, and lack of jimping on the top side of the tools. The lock is hard to disengage with the thumb because it bumps up against one of the tools. I've actually started using my index finger instead and that is way easier. The jimping is less of an issue. It would just make the knife a little more comfortable, I think. Hopefully Spyderco does some CQI on this guy and updates it down the road. Overall, this is a great knife if you want a modern folder with extra tools and I highly recommend it if you think that's up your alley.

Future buy.

I actually don’t own a spyderco knife, but I feel like this would be a great first knife. Not only because of the price but since you get the other tools. You don’t have to try to pry stuff with the blade and break it.

Great EDC

It's cool... only thing that bothers me about it is that they didn't put jimping on the top ramp of the blade. Other than that its nice.

Liner lock is a bit weird.

The liner lock is a bit wierd to use at first but you get used to it. The overall quality is good and made very well for it being from China. The blade material is ok but every one knows that 8Cr13MoV is just melted down hottwheels and matchbox cars. If Spyderco would make this with some VG-10 or CTS-XHP and charge more in gen 2 that would be cool. Its not that heavy for having read more all the steel and G10 in it which is a plesant supprise. The clip is very stiff and springy but rides deep in the pocket and is very close to the Para 3 in size. Overall a nice tool and should be good for any Spyderco fan.
