Totally underrated
I've been carrying this in NYC for the past couple of weeks, where knife laws are extremely strict. This folder is a great EDC, extremely lightweight and I love the steel. The action on this slip joint has a strong lock up half way open and fully open, and with using the finger choil it won't close on your fingers. Highly recommend it as a lightweight EDC that's legal nearly everywhere.
Awesome little folder
Got the knife a few months ago. Love the action.
The slipjoined lock is strong in an opened way, so no worries abou the knife closing on my hands (as long as I do slipjoined work).
Awesome Slipjoint
This is the knife I go to when I want something lightweight and easy to carry. The wire clip is awseome and carries very deep. You can't go wrong with this knife.
Non-locking must have
I'm German and have to dodge some really weird knife laws, if you want to be on the safe side get something non-locking, for the UK it's actually mandatory to have a slipjoint. It's actually the strongest out of my slipjoints but never the less one of the easiest to deploy, their special spring is really awesome. It's an absolutely perfect user but I have to say the Lightness is… read more something to get used to. It's made in the US and what little hardware is on it is very well done. I'd not only recommend it for legal reasons, there is probably no knife that combines such a blade with this little weight, so I often take it to go running because it doesn't bounce around in the pocket. If you want to take a piece of America with you on your next euro-trip you can't go wrong with this bad boy to cut your Bratwurst or Parmesan (but inform yourself ahead of time, some countries do get even stricter!)
Super lightweight EDC
This is a super light 1.9 oz. for a good EDC sized “super steel” s110v blade. The blade stock is thin, same as the Ontario RAT 2, thicker than the Chaparral, but thinner than the Native 5. In my situation (I am not a park ranger) I find knives ~3 to 3.5 inches the most useful (comfortable?) EDC size. Handling it, I was worried it might be fragile, but it takes down boxes easily… read more (I was more aware of the possibility of the knife closing on me than a locking knife so I was more careful). FRN is tough—think Ruger or Smith & Wesson. Also, if you are wearing light clothes this knife will float in or on your pocket and won’t zig when you zag! The slipjoint is very positive feeling. Finally this knife came with the sharpest factory edge of all my knives thus far. I recommend it.
My favorite non-locking knife
I really like this knife. If I am going somewhere that does not allow locking knives, this is knife I carry. It is very secure in that the finger choil prevents the knife from closing. It is a good slicer and is small in the pocket. I liked it so much that I also bought the S110V version with blue scales.
