Quite functional, and I like the scissor spring, as opposed to the normal spring wire, on the other styles. I am looking at some with the metal saw, and I wish they had them in this style. As always, fast shipping from DLT Trading, and I received the product in just three days.

Victorinox/Wenger Hybrid
This knife is a hybrid of the Wenger Evolution knife that is no longer made, but with a hybrid of Wenger parts and Victorinox parts. It has the Wenger Evolution grips and size which makes it slightly more compact that the comparable Victorinox Fieldmaster. Unlike the Fieldmaster the EVO 18 come with a useful, nail file instead of a redundant small blade and skips the largely useless… read more Victorinox parcel hook they always seem to pair up with scissors on their models. They kept Wenger serrated scissors which in my opinion are better and do not use a small spring that inevitably breaks. They use the Vitorinox awl with the sewing eye, which IMO is better than the Wenger awl. They use the Victorinox style can opener that cuts forward and offers a small flat screwdriver over the Wenger claw type which cuts backwards. I learned to open cans on the Wenger claw type so naturally I prefer it over the Victorinox. Plus the scarp claw type can opener can strike a ferro rod. Lastly, the toothpick and tweezers pull from the top of the scales instead of the back Victorinox style which again IMO is an improvement over the Wenger style. They also make an S18 model which features a locking main blade, however, the locking release lever is in a horrible position and makes it extremely difficult to access the scissors because it blocks the nail nick. Overall a very good, functional knife, but not perfect. No one ships quicker than DLT. DLT typically pulls and packs your order same day and two days later your box arrives at your home.
