Perfection EDC

Allen C.

I’ll admit. Early on I broke the tip off. Sent it back to Kai-ZT and they ground my knife to perfection. I love this new shorter blade! It’s perfect! Since then I’ve added new brass hardware screws and a new deep carry clip. I carry this knife everywhere

MY FIRST ZT.

Jeffrey C.

This is my first ZT purchase. And not my last! Smooth ball bearing pivot. Razor sharp blade. One hand open and close. The blade is centered In frame. There is no wobble or play in the blade. Quality construction. It looks good and feels good in hand. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase! Jef C.

I like the ZT 0452 CF so much that i'm going to buy the same knife in the blue titanium model as soon as Blade HQ gets them in stock. Now, that's saying something about this knife!!!

Rock Solid EDC

Ryan R.

I have been carrying my 0452 for nearly 3 years now. The action and lockup are still perfect, despite daily use and abuse. The sleek blade profile gives you a fine cutting edge, while maintaining a stout spine that has stood up to more than I would typically ask of a knife so light. It is perfect, I love it, and nothing is likely to take its place as my EDC.

Great as Expected

Went through a lot of reviews and comments before purchase. Now here it is and that's exactly what I was expecting. This is a great product for sure.

Fantastic knife

Morgan S.

well-proportioned and comfortable. a joy to flick open and fits well in the pocket. Stabby and beautiful. The one thing worth noting is to make sure one flicks like a light switch, not like a push button--it can hurt otherwise.

Perfect EDC

admittedly, it is a little big, but it's not cumbersome. it's thin enough that it can gain a little length without being inconvenient, and the handle is ergonomic as hell.

Great knife!

Absolutely no problems with it! Still has factory edge and I have had it for three years and use it every day!

A BIG Knife!

Jennifer J.

This is a big knife. The specs show it, but it's different in hand. It's also pretty weighty. One side carbon fiber and the other titanium, where the liner lock is located. Overall fit and finish are nice and overbuilt. Belt clip is fine, but on the small side for such a big, heavy knife. The blade is plenty sharp out of the box and very thick. No worries on breaking this blade. read more The overall shape and geometry of the blade, does feel like a big kitchen chef knife or old school Buck folder. Not very modern or tactical-cool. The blade shape may turn off some for this reason. The other thing worth mentioning is even though it uses a bearing pivot joint, mine was and still is after 2 weeks, pretty stiff. I continue to oil and flip it often, but it hasn't loosened up much. So it can be on the stiff side. Otherwise, a big, sturdy, well made knife. Perhaps a little large for EDC, but depending on the use, very handy and extremely well-made.

BIG BOY TOY

William s.

This knife is so sleek sharp and balanced, it feels like an extension of your hand with a blade that gives you great reach and very tactical. They one thing I must say as I am still getting used to this is the flipper. If is something you MUST practice doing as if your finger touches the frame lock or blade or pressure in the wrong spot AND flipping you MUST do it like a light switch read more you cannot press and pull or do oa drag pull it must be an up in and down motion and position you back finger in a very strategic way or it will NOT open and it is frustrating thb, other then that this is a 9.0 / 10 only because of the specific flipper device they use Highly recommended.

Best knife that I own

John S.

Fantastic fit and finish. What is underrated about this knife is that with the shape of the handle, weight of the knife, and angle of the clip this knife sits against the far right of a right pocket and carries like a much smaller knife. When wearing regular pants or jeans, there isn’t much reason to carry anything smaller for me. Only complaint is that they should have figured read more out how to get the clip screws more flush - they do tend to hang up on a pocket edge. Detent was verrry stiff at first, but after a week of flipping is now full-on perfect. Fantastic large knife!

Fits well in the pocket

Derek T.

It's a long blade, but the way it sits in the handle when folded gives it the feel of a knife an inch shorter. I have big hands and the handle sits very secure with my fingers wrapped around it. Nice large jimping on the spine for added grip that isn't irritating to the pad of the finger or thumb. I'd like the blade to deploy faster, but overall it is a very smooth operating flipper, read more feels like it's built like a tank, the two tone design due to the different scales looks nice as well.

Get it Done Knife

Jozef J.

This is a large knife that's sole purpose is to get things done. Great in the kitchen due to the long blade length. Contouring around the entire knife is super comfortable in the hand. The size is just right for me to get a nice firm purchase on the handle. Blade steel is excellent and comes razor sharp. The action is what dreams are made of. The carbon fiber runs through the entire read more scale and looks really great as well. Slim design fits well in the pocket. Overall this is just a beautiful blade. Nothing bad with this thing at all. Even the lockbar is easy to disengage without worrying about it automatically closing.

Large in Hand Yet Comfortable in Pocket

JASON H.

I usually stray from blades on pocket knives longer than 3.5 inches. I see no practical use for my own daily needs and they take up a lot of pocket space. That said, I love Sinkevich designs, and I hemmed and hawed over buying this knife for many months due to its 4 inch blade. I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger. It is a "pocket sword" no doubt, but the slender profile along read more with the minimal flipper tab, CF scale, and deep carry clip makes it carry so well in the pocket. As with other ZT's the action on this is superb, almost to a scary degree; watch your fingers when closing. Great ergos even for my small hands. Simple enough construction to easily disassemble and reassemble. My only complaint is the branding on the pocket clip, but that's with all ZT's, so you know what you're getting. Everything said, this is just another example of ZT hitting out of the park.

Great pocket sword!!!

Dyami M.

This knife is awesome feels so great in the hand. It really flips out fast too. Great ergonomics, and I like the downsize pocket clip. It is probably my largest folding knife. After having it in the pocket for a day, all my other edc's feel so tiny. It is a little big for an edc, but I like it so much, it is hard not to carry. Love ZT knives, they just ooze quality.

Great purchase!

This is my first s35vn blade and I am impressed with this so far. I was a little surprised at the size of this knife the 4.1" blade is a MONSTER! Think Crocodile Dundee: "...That's not a knife...THIS is a knife!" The weight is ridiculously light however it feels good and balanced in the hand once you play with it for a bit. Sharp out of the box but with a friends sharpener and a read more strop...it's sharpness approaches stupidity. Seriously, "razor" doesn't begin to describe what and experienced sharpener can accomplish with this steel. Bevel is a little delicate for my taste, as this is my EDC/Do All blade. I have a Leatherman I usually carry for box cutting and general purpose, as to save the edge on my new baby. I am concerned with the thinness of this blade using it for camping/survival purposes, but I have a ZT DPX HEST for that stuff. All and all, well worth every penny. FYI if you have small hands, go with the 0450. as I have decently large hands for my frame and this is approaching too big.

The Large ZT Sinkevich fippers are GOLD

Erik W.

I have both this version and the blacked-out stonewashed (0452WBW) version of this also with the 4.1 inch blade. Out of the box within a couple of flips the action is smooth as glass! ZT knifes all come "sharp" but given ZT designs the blades are a bit on the thick side. On the other hand the ZT Sinkevich flippers are pushing scary sharp out of the box given the thinner blade. Construction read more and material are as expected and the finishing is well done. These are excellent knifes and well worth the money!

Awesome beginer Flipper

Alex g.

This was one of my first flippers. Once I started getting better flippers I sold my ZT but it was a great knife at the time. The one lart i dont like is the flipper tab is to vertical and is hard to deploy sometimes

My Most-Carried Blade

William J.

I really try to carry other knives to work.. but I always come back to this one. It fits all my requirements: 4 inches, 4ish ounces, comfortable ergos, premium steel, low profile, slim width, uncoated blade, smooth action, good clip. Carries inconspicuously in a suit, jeans, or shorts. I need something that will perform well for daily tasks in an urban environment and also serve read more as last-ditch self defense. I combine this with a multi-tool and always feel prepared. Doesn’t hurt that this is also one of the coolest-looking knives I own. It’s not the tool I would take into the woods but I have other options for that. Urban or suburban EDC - this is your knife.

Great Knife With One Flaw

Joseph L.

The ZT 0452cf is a wicked awesome knife. Love the design, looks stellar no mater where you take it and the detent is truely addicting. Only issue I have is the centering; the blade favors the carbon side even when I tighten the pivot up to the point where there’s major resistance on the blade.

My new EDC

Josh E.

This knife is great for EDC if you prefer larger blades. It's very comfortable in the hand and disappears in the pocket due to the slim closed profile. Fantastic design!

This knife is what got me into knives. The design is simple but just awesome, beautiful and badass all at the same time. The action is still the best action I've ever felt on a knife. I've flipped this thing thousands of times everyday for months and its still an awesome and solid action. Absolutely recommend this knife and it looks like everyone else if having the same experience read more so zt is pretty consistent.

Besides a few sprint runs of this knife, the 0452CF is THE BEST KNIFE in the world. Just my opinion of course but I own about 35 ZT knives and the 0452 line is my favorite. It’s shave-sharp, great looking, perfect size (hey bigger is better right?) and buttery smooth with the KVT bearings. My favorite knife to flip when I’m bored.....that alone will make your day or turn that read more frown upside down :-D go ZT!
P.S. Ronni B, they did make 2 versions with M390 steel, a blue/CF and a rose gold/G-10 version. I have a gold one but a sprint run with s90 or 110v would be awesome.....(ZT I hope you’re reading this) lol

Best knife i have ever owned!

Action is the best i have ever felt, butter smooth like its gliding on air. No hot spots, knife fits like a glove in the hand. balance point is dead middle. blade shape and length is amazing, this knife is deffinitly a home run. I hope they come out with the same knife but in different materials like S110v, or S90v and different color barrel spacers. If your thinking about buying read more this knife BUY IT ALREADY!

Outstanding!

Alfonso F.

Ordered this in December as an early present for myself and I ordered it on a Tuesday and it was there by the end of the week. The knife itself definitely feels like $220 in hand and the fit and finish was impeccable, as is the weight which according to my scale is about 4.2 ounces. It's easy to disassemble and maintain over time and the S35VN holds it's edge. As a large man I enjoy read more large knives and this one definitely suits my fancy and is worth every penny

So elegant.

Arian T.

This knife is outstanding in terms of weight and quality. Clip could be a little better but overall it is a wonderful knife. If you're looking to buy this knife keep in mind that when it is closed, the blade tip sits really close to the edge of the bottom of the handle and if not careful you can snag things on it. If course, that doesn't really steal any glory from how great this read more knife is just a heads up.

Big Knife but not too heavy. Cuts things good enough. Great materials and excellent fit and finish. Has one of the best flipping actions of any knife Ive Handled. Very comfortable to use. Looks good as well. Cant think of anything I don't like about this knife. Was probably my favorite ZT untill I got the 0920

This knife is absolutely amazing. It gets more pocket time than any other knife I have. I have used this knife for everything from peeling apples to dressing small game and birds. The KVT bearing system is smooth as silk. The fit and finish is perfect. Blade centering is perfect. Lock up is rock solid. The S35 blade will take a razor edge and stay sharp for a long time. I like this read more knife so much that I also bought the smaller ZT 0450CF. Thank you ZT and Dmitry Sinkevich. You knocked one out of the park with this knife.

AMAZING

Bobby R.

There are many that say that this knife is "scary" or "too big." What do I say? I love this knife in every way shape and form. It fills my hand nice, and as a 6'1" bear shaped dude, it looks right at home in my hand. The action is smooth as butter, and the detent has the perfect resistance (for and experienced flipper, was a bit difficult for my non knife family members) and it read more deploys every time, even when i point it straight up! Its also very light, due to the titanium and carbon fiber. Overall, this is a fantastic knife and a worthy addition to any knife collection.

Wow. This blade is sweet.

TJ S.

This knife is a home run. But not a grand slam. They wiffed badly on the clip. I know it’s the standard ZT/Kershaw clip but dude...that little ugly clip screwed onto that beautiful long titanium scale...just doesn’t sit well with me. It just feels and looks a little diminutive and weak contrasting with the rest of the knife. Checkout Ebay, someone is doing anodized hardware read more and clips for this knife. I bought and installed these mods and it takes this knife into the stratosphere.

Super light, deploys super fast, long blade, large in hand, small in pocket, in/out of pocket fast, jeez idk everything rocks on this knife. With the mods I mentioned above, I would have paid +$300 for it (*nudge* ZT).

Another thrilled buyer

I might as well not even write this review. There are 15 others who are as happy with this knife as I am. This is a mean blade. It flawlessly combines size and smoothness unlike any other. To have a 4.1 inch blade, it weighs nothing. The blade feels like it floats when opening or closing. The frame lock is beautiful and solid as a brick wall. The only downside is that if you aren't read more careful, the blade will cut your thumb when you unlock it because the action is so smooth. A masterpiece of a knife.

This has got to be my favorite knife that I have gotten in months. It is so smooth and so ergonomic the pictures don't do it justice. The blade is huge but surprisingly it isn't as heavy as you would expect a knife this size to be. It is large but very practical with a deep carry pocket clip (love love love!!!!). I don't buy a lot of knives, I just buy quality knives and this knife read more exceeds every standard that I wanted to be met. I am going to carry this knife everyday along with my 940-2 and I know that I will always have what I need. Thank you ZT this is an outstanding collaboration!

I've carried a Benchmade 940 and a Spyderco Endura for the past five years. I was reluctant to spend so much money on a knife but the 452cf is worth every penny. I could flick open and drop this thing shut all day.

This knife is the $hit. From the moment you open this knife you will fall in love. This has to be in my Top 5 EDC blades of all time. The only knife I would chose over it right now is my Benchmade 940-1501. Both are MUST haves in a collection. This knife is a GREAT value at $220 and even if the cost was $300+ it would be a good buy. ZT / DS have created something special and we read more are Privileged to own this Knife. Wow...

I've had this knife for awhile now and it hasn't let me down. The action is still smooth and there is no play in the lockup . The clip was small so I took the clip off a 0801bw Rexford design and put it on this one, it's cool cause I have 2 of the elmax Rexfords. The size of this blade is another cool thing. It feels great in the hand, you won't be disappointed just change the clip. read more

The new go-to

I purchased this knife recently and it is my first ZT. I was a a bit hesitant to purchase this knife for EDC but after one day of carrying it and forgetting it was there several times the worry faded into a smile. Yes it is a big blade, but it fits in the hand perfectly and carries like a knife half the size.
Couldn't be happier with my purchase. I can't find something I don't read more like about the overall design and shape, and it is razor sharp. I was afraid the carbon fiber would seem cheap or fragile but just the opposite is true for this ZT. The carbon fiber is VERY nice, robust, and you can tell no corners were cut in the making of this knife.

If you are looking to purchase your first ZT, BUY WITH CONFIDENCE! If you are a ZT owner..well...you already know how awesome they are, and this is an seriously awesome model to add to your collection!

After purchasing the Boker plus Kwaiken tuxedo and I was so disappointed. I decided to get my first ZT and 0452cf is the first I wanna get before the Hinderer designs. I was worried about the QC until it came. Blade is very sharp and perfectly centered, no blade play, the handle finish is excellent especially the carbon scale. The only problem is the detent was too strong, but it's read more fine after few days of flipping and it breaks in. And the pocket clip is somehow too small for a 4.1' blade. It's a large blade but it weights like its a smaller blade. Recommended

New to Zero Tolerance but not knives, This 0452cf is smooth as silk, Perfectly centered, Easy to carry in pocket and a whole lot of blade when you flip it open. This is my second ZT and just ordered another(0560) since these have both been perfect knives with a really nice fit and finish. I hope ZT continues to create more fantastic knives like this one. For a 4" blade, it's extremely light and slim. Takes up very little pocket real estate. Once the action breaks in, it's a fantastic flipper. Highly highly recommended.

Fantastic knife. Do note, as it came it was very difficult to open, I was afraid something was wrong, but by flipping it often and working the action it loosened up. The blade shape looks great and is very useful. The knife is very light. This is one of my most favorite folders.

Best size ZT IMO, I had a 0562CF and sold it, this one is a much better design, fits the hand perfect, detent is extremely crisp, and lockup and centering are perfection and S35VN is one of my favorites.

The only other ZT I see myself buying than this one is a variant of the 0454 or an 0450.

This blade is pure awesomeness! I love a long blade, but this thing is so lite, so fast and has a lot of belly. Was a big fan of the O562 cf and 0801 cf, but this thing just fits! Perfect!
