Stormtrooper White
I was on the fence purchasing the Texel for quite some time. I liked the design but never pulled the trigger on this one. The other day, I got a message that the white was back in stock, so I decided to purchase and am SO glad I did. This little knife is such a smooth flipper. It flips open everytime, without fail (even when I try to fail it). The ergonomics are spot on, it fits… read more my M/L hands perfectly. The blade was perfectly centered and sharp as a razor. The pocket clip is stout. The only negative is that the clip isn't adjustable for lefties! Definitely two thumbs up for this little knife!!
First impressions good
I just received this today in the mail and have been using it as much as I can and so far it looks like it’s going to be a good edc. I was a little hesitant about the color scheme but I’m starting to get into nontraditional designs and colors as I see more of them. The knife has good action and it rides in the pocket really well with no hotspots while holding it. Overall a great… read more blade so far.
Value gem
I had a Texel once before but gifted it. Needed to flush out my cart and decided to pick it up again. Having it in hand makes me question why I gave it up before. The Texel is just about a good as a budget knife could be. Great ergos, Great flipping action, great blade geometry, great price. I can accept D2 on a knife this great. Would have preferred a stainless steel, though. Imagine… read more how epic this knife would be with N690 or 145CM.
Great value, action, and strength
Having purchased another Adam Purvis-designed knife, I thought I would try this one out. Glad I did because Bestech knocked it out of the park and I love the sheepsfoot blade profile on this knife.
Pros: Comfortable in hand (except the sharp lanyard spacer - see below), kind of brutish with thick liners, tough G10, and a medium thick blade for 3.25, AMAZING action and detent…

on bronze washers.
Cons: The sharpness of the lanyard back spacer creates a bit of a hot spot when pressing hard in hammer grip and knife is a bit heavy and bulky in the pocket.
On the whole, this is an amazing value knife. Mine was perfectly centered, smooth (and oily too...very oily:-), chamfered well to fit in the hand, and ready for some harder work. Once I realized it was built for harder work, I embraced it and realized this is a great buy, so you should buy it too!
Solid Functional Fun
This knife has a better and smoother action than my Spyderdo Native Salt! The blade came well oiled (D2) Steel. I had a hankering for the jade handles but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for those specialty knives (Giant Mouse, Spyderco, etc.) You won't regret this knife, it's just a solidly built knife that does what you need it to. Came really sharp as well!
The Hunt Ends?
I've been searching for my perfect EDC for over a year: This might be the closest thing to it. I will fully admit I am a sucker for a sheepsfoot flipper with great action.
The blade shape, grind, edge, and finish are all really good - stropped up wonderfully.
Fit, Finish, and Action - might as well be a Civivi (excellent)

steel (say 20CV) and a deep carry clip would be nice, but for the price I really have no major complaints. Mine came with a lot of pivot lube in it from the factory, so it might be worth cleaning out right away.
Wasn't sure about Bestech but this knife sold me.
There's a lot to love on this knife and a couple minor things that could be improved but none that are deal breakers.
Good: - Amazing action.
- D2 steel is good to go.
- Competitive price.
- Good ergonomics.
- G10 is textured in middle and smoothed on outer 1/3s of handle for great comfort and grip
- Strong tip.
- Skeletonized liners to save weight.

be improved: - Blade stock isn't very thick but the grind could be thinner behind the edge for better slicing.
- I wish the swedge didnt start so close to the handle because choking up becomes less comfortable.
- It's relatively wide in the pocket (1/2-3/4" between clip and edge of pocket.
Overall, this blade feels great and should be a great EDC that I wouldn't be afraid to beat on.
