This Texel has a black G-10 handle with a red backspacer and a gray/satin blade.The Bestech Texel, designed by Adam Purvis of APurvis Blades, is everything you want in an EDC knife and nothing you don't. This no-frills design has a usable sheepsfoot blade made of super-tough D2 steel and a sturdy liner lock. In Bestech fashion, the action is slick and easy to use one handed. I had a Texel once before but gifted it. Needed to flush out my cart and decided to pick it up again. Having it in hand makes me question why I gave it up before. The Texel is just about a good as a budget knife could be. Great ergos, Great flipping action, great blade geometry, great price. I can accept D2 on a knife this great. The Hunt Ends?
I've been searching for my perfect EDC for over a year: This might be the closest thing to it. I will fully admit I am a sucker for a sheepsfoot flipper with great action.
The blade shape, grind, edge, and finish are all really good - stropped up wonderfully.

steel (say 20CV) and a deep carry clip would be nice, but for the price I really have no major complaints. Mine came with a lot of pivot lube in it from the factory, so it might be worth cleaning out right away.
