It was made to be a tactical tool with the speed and agility of a knife, and the takedown power of a machete; perfect for use in close Combat situations in World War II. In the yeARS since, custom knife maker Chuck Gedraitis adapted the historic design into an EDC-friendly folder: the Pocket Smatchet. Gedraitis, Blade HQ, and Boker have teamed up to bring this custom knife homage to life as a production MODel. Love those wood grips. They’re very grippy and leave me wondering why they’re not more common given how functional and aesthetically pleasing they are. Beast of a knife
Saw other reviews. Pulled all external screws and applied threadlocker and did the same with the pivot screw which I tightened well - which made the blade have just a bit of tension upon closing. Overall pretty nice knife. Very sharp and seems strong.

I own hundreds of knives, the Smatchet is the knife I carry all the time now. It is reliable, it is sharp, and it is wonderful. The ergo's on this knifeare perfect. Amazing knife
This knife is something special, This is my second one and they are both built to perfection, no issues at all. Dont let a loose screw bother you. The Smatchet feels so amazing in my hand, one of the best grips I have felt on a knife, You are locked in instanly when you grab it and for a knife this size it's actually not that heavy, I have carried mine multiple times since I have… read more owned it and it sits in the pocket well. The thumb disc works great and when you open this knife, It opens with authority and has the best sounding "Thwack" I have heard from any of my knives and the VG10 cuts very well, edge is holding up great so far.
Low quality control
when i received the knife the belt clip was about to fall off,
i snugged it up and started carrying it in my pocket. it was all good till today when i noticed it was missing the screw on the opposite side from the belt clip.i guess if you get this knife you need to go over every fastener on it.
