I just received this Guardian tactical 035. First impressions are it is really smooth action. Perfect size for all day EDC. Came vary sharp with elmax blade steal. I have microtechs and Houge out the front knives and this one is my favorite. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice OTF EDC blade!!

If you're looking at Guardian Tactical, don't hesitate. You will not be disappointed. The 035 is the perfect size for EDC. The 040 is next on my list.

Amazing knife!

This is my first Microtech and legit OTF. There's a reason why Microtech is the gold standard for OTF's. What an awesome knife! Very solid. No blade play. Amazing finish. There's nothing bad I can say or even try to think of this knife. Anyone looking to get an OTF from Microtech, just make the move and get it!

Great blade! Elmax...misfires regularly

I'v had this knife for about 2 weeks. Used it to cut a 1-1/2"branch from a tree. It is a tough knife. The CF inserts make the handle kinda slippery though. Should have gotten the other version W/O the CF, and it would have been less expensive also. Overall, I do enjoy this knife, except when it misfires...maybe needs to be broken in more? I plan on keeping it!... Jump ahead 7 months...I read more am liking this knife more now that I took it apart, cleaned and waxed, not oiled the moving parts and it fires much smoother and doesn't misfire. Used a nano wax...works better than oil!

Fantastic OTF Now With Carbon Fiber Scales

I have other variations of the Guardian Tactical Recon-35. Its a great design, but when I saw it with carbon fiber scales, I went WOW, I've got to add this to my collection. Its just as great as the others with a classier look!

Fantastic knife!

I never had an OTF knife before last December 2019 when I bought a Hogue Compound. I unboxed it, tried the action a few times. Hated the "SPROING" feeling when it deployed. And it felt cheap. I returned it promptly and gave up on OTF knifes. Then I did some research and found the RECON 035. Did some more research, and finally pulled the trigger and ordered one. The difference in read more quality between the two is noticeable. The RECON 035 deploys with authority and locks up solid with no toy-like "sproing". It has an Elmax blade in black and stainless and CF inlays. I have to restrain myself from actuating it unnecessarily. Its just that satisfying to use. Absolutely love it.

Did not disappoint.

The photos of this particular model dont do it justice in my opinion. This new Merlot red is a deep rich color, and combined with the black blade and hardware just exudes a sense of class.
The action is smooth and solid. 100% American made. Top shelf!

Outstanding Quality!

I now own 5 Recon 035's and they just keep getting better.
I was unsure about the carbon fiber inlays.
My concern was the execution but I took a chance based on the quality of my 4 previous 035's. The carbon fiber has been added so perfect that it presents as though it was there to begin with.
I own many, many Microtech OTF's and the Guardian Tactical Recon line is right read more there, maybe better.
So Smooth and the ergonomics are perfect.

Thank You Andy and your crew.
