An excellent little knife with a very sharp edge and not hollow ground to weaken it. I really like this little knife and hardly go anywhere without it.
Orange Sidekick
Knife is super sharp out of the bag. Easily cuts notwbook paper. Spine in good and sharp...should throw sparks easily. I am not a huge fan of the swedge, but a great knife for the price.
Ambush is no suprise
The Ambush is a great back-up knife that performs. Lightweight and sharp it offers exactly what you want in a "necker" knife. Am I surprised at how good it is? No - DLT Trading offers great products and this knife is a must have for backpacker, day hikers, or LE.
Ambush sidekick
Wasn't sharp enough to cut paper clean out of the bag. Using a belt Sandler, various grits and compound I have a decent now. The tip of the blade is still not satisfactory, needs a better stabbing point but i can't take to much off the sides. Elmax is harder to sharpen than high carbon. To early to review edge retention but it's working well for now. I will have to make some handles… read more for it, the paranoid is not going to work for me. The handle will need a choil to prevent slipping up on the cutting edge. It's the way it fits my hand but may not apply to some. Done a little wood work with it, feels capable once a set of grips are in place. With the paracord I can use four fingers, only 3 on the grip itself and the pinky grasps the cord. Ill update when it's been completed. Cheers

The knife is has a three finger handle. The paracord wrap handle may not be the best choice with the kydex sheath option, as the knife seats pretty deeply into that sheath. That pushes the paracord away from the blade each time you sheath the knife, which eventually loosens the handle wrap. Not sure how this might work in the leather sheath, as I did not exercise that option. Knife… read more is great otherwise. Elmax takes a great edge and knife is handy. Carries well in slip pockets in many bags. For me, some kind of handle scale option might be helpful.
Fantastic knife at a great price
I bought this knife at the store before it was available online. I asked for the best paracord handled knife they had, they showed me three but I picked the Ambush Sidekick. Super sharp, USA made and stills holds an edge after the one outing I've used it yesterday. I love paracord so I can change the color when I get tired of the old color or its gets stained. The Sidekick is lightweight,… read more sharp and provides many carry options. I'm getting the pink camo as a stocking stuffer for my daughter. She is going to love it. You'll love it too, so buy two while they are still in stock.
