Special Warfare Operator First Class (SEAL) Matthew Leathers was a highly decorated Combat veteran. Mat was lost at sea during a free diving exercise in 2013. Fellow seals have honored Matt's memory with these simple words: Matt Would Go. During his nine yeARS with the US Navy SEALS, Mat designed a knife that held up to his high standards. He used scrap Humvee coil spring steel and built his own. Tim Leathers, Matt's father, has entered into an agreement with Buck Knives to make the exact knife Matt designed.The MWG fixed blade knife from Buck has a black coated 5160 steel blade and custom multi-color Micarta handles.
