Spend $20 more and get a Tenacious
The construction is very solid and tight but I do not like this knife. I can't get used to the opening and the byrd hole. Locking mechanism is not nearly as nice as a slightly more expensive knife.
Spyderco-like quality in a budget blade
First, thanks, BladeHQ, for making it so easy to find and own great knives.
Obviously this is not the best blade steel out there, and it's not the lightest knife around. But it works and opens well, and I'm surprised at how much I like the stainless steel handle. I end up carrying it more often than I'd expect for a knife with 8Cr13MoV.
Byrd or spyderco?
Going from a spydie hole to a Byrd hole is difficult, the blade is not of the same steel you see from spyderco, the edge retention is fairly lame. For a beater knife; $27 Is fair!
