This is my first Nitro V; however, it is not very different in composition to my 14C28N knives… which is my absolute favorite low-cost steel. As an EDC, this steel is outstanding and easy to sharpen in the field. Button locks are hit or miss, even with high-end brands; however, my sample was perfectly on-par with more costly offerings. This is easily one of the best pocket knives ever. Good price for what you're getting. Its the perfect size for EDC. The action is very smooth. Just the slightest flick on the thumb studs sends the blade open. The knife feels assisted, but its not. The button is a tad stiff, but it falls nicely and doesn't really bounce. The knife cuts well and carries well. The micarta feels really read more nice to. Civivi nailed it with this knife. If you're on the fence about buying it, buy it. Its a great EDC knife.

I love this knife. It is comfortable in my hand, the damascus is beautiful. Mechanically everything works as it should, the blade is sharp and well centered on the knife and the button lock does exactly what it was designed to do. I would love to see this knife in an automatic option in the future.
