If you are one the fence about buying this knife do not hesitate!!
Exceptional value!
While 9cr18 steel may not be Grail quality, it is far superior to those used generations ago by our antecedents and is quite durable and maintainable! That said, the functionality of this knife IS Grail quality. Frankly, I think a manual flipper is the perfect deployer, though I would prefer a frame lock closer, given the option. Manual knives travel well domestically, though NY…

probably considers them a firearm! Pricewise, this has to be the best value around in an exceptional EDC knife!
UPDATE!
IMHO: Have revised my thoughts on frame lock vs liner lock; the liner lock preserves the integrity of the scales, and thus the aesthetics!
Very impressed
was a bit Leary purchasing but based on reviews had to see for myself. must say im very impressed, very well built, decent steel, flipper tab works flawlessly and they throw in a few really nice extras..great case and cleaning cloth along with a few stickers. Elementum next for sure!!
Flies Open
Good knife, small price. Blade flies open and is sharp. Nice finish on the blade and handle looks and feels good.
Premium Build, Budget Price
I read and watched a few reviews on this knife before purchasing. The consensus was overwhelmingly positive, especially for the price. So, I decided to pull the trigger and see if this knife was a good as everyone was saying. As so far, I have to say that the knife lives up to the hype.
The flipping action on this knife is perfect right out of the box. The detent is tuned…

just right for a nice, crisp opening. It's extremely satisfying. If you are into fidgeting with your knives, this one will definitely scratch that itch. The knife is very sharp and consistent out of the box. The blade sits perfectly centered between the liners from the factory. The black G-10 / Carbon Fiber scales are personal preference, but I think they look sharp against the black stonewashed blade. Blade steel is 9Cr18MoV, which is nothing terribly special, but more than justified at this price range. I haven't had this knife long enough to speak to the edge retention qualities of this blade, but at the very least, 9Cr18MoV should resharpen quite easily.
Overall, I'm more than happy with the excellent design and build quality of the knife. I'd love to see a special run with a higher end blade steel someday, as the rest of the design and execution has been done so well. But for the price, this knife is definitely worth a try. And based on this experience, I'll be sure to check out more of what Civivi has to offer.
A fun knife
My boss told me Civivi made great little knives and I so I decided to try one out.
Right out of the box, it's sharp. It's also pretty lightweight and feels amazing in the hand. The ergonomics are just right, especially with the ridged thumb area on top of the blade. It also feels very balanced and flipping this is a lot of fun. (Maybe a little too much as I find myself playing…

with it at my desk at work.) And deep pocket carry is always welcome.
I truly hope the rest of Civivi's lineup is as good as this one. I've been known to buy knives when bored, or sad, or happy or ... And it'd be nice to have a quality brand that's not gonna kill my bank when the urge hits.
I can't stop picking this knife up!!!!
I decided to add to my Civivi collection with the purchase of a knife with a bigger handle and blade than the elementum. I was not sure how the black stonewash on carbon fiber scales would look. But, man does this thing look sharp. It has become my main EDC knife!!! Sharp out the box and great action on the flip.
