I can’t believe this knife cost 40$ it’s solid and well made. Very smooth action. Love the jade scales! This is most definitely in my top five edc budget knives and probably will be for a long time!! Can’t wait for the new scoria (hopefully I didn’t miss spell that. Lol) to come out!!

Really pleased with this knife. It's big and solid, crafted with great attention to detail. It's the only knife that gives the Rat 1 D2 a run for it's money as the best sub-$50 knife. For the same price, I'd say this knife feels slightly more sturdy, at the cost of a much stiffer action. In fact the action out-of-box is so stiff I've currently got a nice bruise under my thumbnail read more from using the thumb stud. This one has a thicker blade, yet due to the very pointy shape it is still slicey and great for detail work. Due to blade thickness & material I'm not too worried about chipping the point, but any tip this pointy needs to be handled with care. I'm curious to see how much the action can be tuned; if I find it's too hard to dial out some of the stiffness without causing other issues then I may return to take off a star. Mine is so stiff that it impacts the joy of carrying it, but I would be surprised if this can't be remedied.

Even nicer in person

These sell out so quickly. I got the mini and just couldn't get the Big. I really like the color & curves of this knife. Wish it was satin finish but I get it, can't have everything at this price. I'm so impressed with both Feldspars. They just work. These are the first natural g-10 knives I've owned. I like how they are a bit less threatening looking than some blacked-out version read more but the pointed tip is amazing at slicing and precision. The handle curves just feel great in my hand. I'm late to the CJRB train and so glad I tried them out. The large size fills the hand nicely and gives a good grip. The extra weight of the Big flicks out smooth, like a Rat 1. There is quite a bit of engineering in this knife. Little items that show attention to detail. Don't leave it around, it will walk off on you

CJRB Feldspar 3.5", natural G-10

Wow! I watched a Metal Complex review on YouTube recently and he raved about this budget knife. I bought it just a few weeks ago from Blade HQ and I've been really impressed. I mean for $40 here, you are getting a nice blade length suitable for many tasks, great-looking natural G-10 handles (first I've been able to find in stock to buy) that feel great in hand, nice punchy thumb read more stud opening, and pleasant all around size and weight in hand. Just enough size and weight to know it's there in pocket and hasn't hit the deck behind you somewhere. And D2 is a very solid, competitive steel, too. If you're on the fence about a budget knife, a first knife, a great gift, just know that the Feldspar does not disappoint. I feel like this one is easily worth another $20 more!

Outstanding Knife

I went shopping for a decent 3.5" knife with thumb studs and came across this...for well less than I was prepared to spend. Thumb studs have actually become a rarity these days, the market is dominated by flippers. Personally, for fun fidgeting in front of the TV I like studs just as well as flippers or spydie holes. Enter the CJRB Feldspar...for less than $40 you get perfectly read more serviceable D2 steel, a ceramic ball-bearing pivot, contoured G-10 scales in your choice of colors, a slicey blade and an attractive design. Quality control, centering, sharpness and grind are spot on. CJRB's under-$50 offerings are a better deal than Civivi, and the only other (decent quality) inexpensive competition with thumb studs I'm aware of are Kizers and Ontario RAT's (I own both). The Feldspar is a good working knife that's fun to play with, it looks great and did I mention it costs less than $40? Other makers seem to be making the transition from cheaper Sandvik steels to D2 tool steel in their budget offerings, a good move, and CJRB/Artisan Cutlery has done it across the board. D2 ain't perfect and heat treatments vary but properly tempered it's a damn sight better than 8Cr13Mov etc., it takes and keeps a wicked edge, at the sole expense of mediocre corrosion resistance. I've rambled on enough...this is a good knife, buy it.
