This Drop Forged Survivalist MODel is equipped with a clip point blade made from 52100 high carbon steel with a bronze finish.The Cold Steel Drop Forged Survivalist was inspired by a knife design that Lynn Thompson discovered while on a research trip in Argentina. After trying out a solid steel knife from knife-maker Michal Ahchez, Lynn began experimenting on how to bring this classic fixed blade knife to a wider audience. What resulted was a Precision designed survival knife made from a solid piece of drop forged 52100 high carbon steel. With a Rockwell Hardness of 58-59, there is no cutting job too difficult for this heavy duty survival knife. It has an Ergonomic handle that features an integral guard, deep comfortable trough and a lanyard hole for easy EDC. It also includes a tough Secure-Ex sheath for comfortable carry. Features:Large clip point design for hunting, survival, bushcrafting and more.Single piece carbon steel construction provides a solid platform for any difficult cutting job.Molded Secure-Ex sheath offers a versatile belt carry option.
