Massive & Durable

If you already own anything from Cold Steel then you know how great the quality is and if you don't, get one ASAP. I call this my 'pocket sword' because it's such a big knife but I can still carry it in my pocket without any discomfort. I've used it for just about every household & camping task that you can think of and it has held up like a champ!

I am a cop and let me tell you what. This is my new work knife. Its big its sharp it can handle edc tasks but it's a great back up if everything else fails. I do wish it would come sharper but it is so easy to sharpen and takes such a great edge.....who cares lol

A big, big folder.

This thing is huge. I keep it in my car's center console for self-defense / self-defense mitigation (this thing is intimidating). While I could see this knife being used as a possible camp/hiking knife, I feel if you were willing to pack something that large/heavy, a fixed blade would be the way to go. However, housing a Tri-Ad lock, this thing can take a beating. Tt being a folder read more can also make it easier to stow (comes down to personal preference I suppose). Out of the box it came extremely sharp. 4 stars because the pocket clip is so stiff its nearly impossible to use, however pocket carrying this is sooo suspect. It is relatively inexpensive for a blade of this size and I would recommend it for someone seeking a ridiculously large knife while not breaking the bank.

New and improved!

Right out of box I noticed 2 changes vs. the older gen voyagers. 1. The action is much smoother out of box with the back spring not being as tight and 2. The texturing is just as grippy with fewer hotspots and catching on the pocket. I have yet to see the difference between cts bd1 and aus10a in terms of edge retention, toughness l, and corrosion but I suspect they'll be similar.
