The CRKT Rakkasan was designed by U.S. Army veteran Austin McGlaun in collaboration with the Forged By War program. This unique line of Knives offers mission critical tools designed by veterans for veterans. 10% of all Forged By War profits are donated to the designer veteran's charity of choice. The Rakkasan was designed by Austin McGlaun to address any of the unexpected variables that can arise in Combat situations.Rakkasan is the Japanese word given to U.S. Paratroopers during World War II. It translates roughly to "umbrella for falling", which is a fitting moniker for this rugged Combat fixed blade. The large bowie blade is forged from black powder coated steel with a flat grind and a deep curved belly. Black G-10 handles further accentuate the full-tang design, with a carved and textured surface for unprecedented grip strength. A molded Kydex sheath completes the outstanding tactical design.Features:Clip point blade with a recurved belly provides a versatile cutting edge.Textured G-10 handle scales offer a high performance grip in difficult environmental conditions.Molded kydex sheath includes cord wrapping for attaching to a belt, bag, or pack.
