I purchased this because I wanted a scandi-grind knife and thought it would be fun to assemble one myself. This style of blade is a little tricky to put a handle on because the block has to be slotted carefully to avoid gaps between the tang and grip material. The blade came quite sharp. The only downside is the edge grind is mostly polished, but some of the original grind marks… read more are still showing. However, the first sharpening should take care of that. Overall, I am pleased with it.
