Will take some getting used to...
First, I want to say that this a great blade. Fits well in the hand, well built and a perfect size. It is not assisted opening and not a flipper which I didn't think would be a problem. If there is a problem it is with the opening 'bar' at the top of the blade spine. Unlike a thumb stud, it will take a little bit of practice to get just the right technique down for me to feel comfortable… read more opening it. It can be done but there is not a lot of real estate on the blade ledge for my thumb to make a good purchase and push it open. Because it is not assisted, it take all the more of a push to do it. I just need to find that sweet spot for my thumb....I know I'll find it. Overall though, a great and elegant knife.
Great little knife but why no flipper!
I love the blade profile and the overall look of the knife. Overall its is an awesome knife for the price. A couple down sides and the reason it I didnt give it 5 stars. It is a little on the heavy side for the size. The thumb grove they say is used to open is very small. Think like 1 mm height. It works but you cant really fling it open like you want. At least I cannot. I have… read more pretty big hands and its hard to get my thumb into place to whip it open. I can sort of spydie flick it. A flipper on the knife would have made it awesome!
