Along with that, there is jimping on the spine for a controlled grASP and a nail nick that'll open this blade smoothly while riding on KVT ball bearings. Each of the pivot, pivot screw, and over-travel stop are anodized the perfect blue that stands out against the matte, bead blast finished, stainless steel handle. Will take some getting used to...
First, I want to say that this a great blade. Fits well in the hand, well built and a perfect size. It is not assisted opening and not a flipper which I didn't think would be a problem. If there is a problem it is with the opening 'bar' at the top of the blade spine. Unlike a thumb stud, it will take a little bit of practice to get just the right technique down for me to feel comfortable… read more opening it. It can be done but there is not a lot of real estate on the blade ledge for my thumb to make a good purchase and push it open. Because it is not assisted, it take all the more of a push to do it. I just need to find that sweet spot for my thumb....I know I'll find it. Overall though, a great and elegant knife.
