Looks fooled me
This knife was either messed up or just terrible. It was SUPER hard to open, the worst easiest of the 20+ assisted open knives I've used/owned. I broke it and won't be replacing it. Can't recommend buying one.
Cheap feeling
Meh. Everyone else seems to like this one, but to me it feels kinda flimsy, thin, and cheap.
Maybe the copper handle ones feel better.
Wanted to like it
I wanted to like this knife. It looks nice, the colors are nice. First thing I noticed was that the flipper tab was super sharp, was actually cutting/hurting my finger trying to open it. The blade was pretty sharp so was happy about that. Went to take apart the knife and the screw completely stripped out, and the handle which holds the pivot on the opposite side, stripped out on… read more the other side. The knife was half unscrewed and unable to be put back together as both sides of the pivot were completely stripped. I have never experienced this from any knife I own. Maybe I got a bad one, but now the knife is junk, and I would not recommend it.
Why isn't this more well known?
I've had this little guy for 3 months and I am loving it! I don't work hard on this guy. My tasks for it are paper cutting, box opening, clothes tags removal, opening bags, and food prep. Here's a rundown of my thoughts in Nick Shabazz style:
Good:
• Deep Carry pocket clip!
• Sub-Framelock is about 90% Lockup
• Ergos are good. Could be better, but well done;…

knife is a tad thin
Great:
• Affordable ZT design
• After worn in, it's SUPER smooth with the KVT bearings
• Excels at slicing EDC tasks (SLICEY blade!)
Bad/Neutral:
• 8Cr13MoV; It's an alright steel for the price, but a $15 bump could've been useful for a slightly better steel, like maybe D2?
Ugly:
• Horrible before breaking in; Jimping on the flipper tab was sharp and the detent was WAY too high on mine.
After breaking it in, it's a great knife, especially for the price! I've had no issues after that. The good outweigh the bad because of how it turned out. Some days, I reach for the Natrix rather than my Spyderco Para 3!
The Disappearing Insta-Classic
Kershaw Natrix, although I am not entirely certain why the assisted version of an unassisted knife would be less expensive, what I do know is that the Kershaw Natrix is hyperlight, and very slim allowing it to absolutely disappear in a pocket. The action is smooth, gliding into place with zero effort. The lock is secure and easy to work. The knife comes sharp and the blade shape…

is perfect for opening boxes or the like. The clip is proof that there are great clips out there, tip-up and deep carry. Egros, finish, and gimping all on point. The Natrix is a go-to, rock climbing knife for me, a position reserved for the absolute favorite pocket knives. All around, a solid knife that doesn't push the boundaries. Well done Kershaw. 92/100
Definitely my favorite EDC
Super light, big blade, nice ergos. All for less than $50. I started carrying it and haven't stopped. It's so light I don't realize it's there.
Only drawback is the G-10 feels a little cheap. But it's solid and it isn't rough like my Spydercos, so it doesn't tear up my office slacks. The deep carry clip makes it disappear too.
All in all, I give it a strong recommendation.…

Nearly impossible to find as good a knife for the price.
Sexy Sleek Apple Slicer
Blade HQ covered the Natrix in one of their videos and it seduced me. I shopped the options and just pictured sitting back and cutting slices off an apple with this beautiful, perfectly sized knife. Kershaw, always a GREAT bang for the buck, really scored big with this fun, ergonomic flipper.
After a few months of use and a couple drops of BlueLube it opens so butter smooth…

I bought another.
Great EDC
While its not a BBQ knife, the 7007 is a great EDC blade. The execution of the superb ZT 0770 design is surprisingly light weight and thin. The machined G10 is more grippy than aluminum scales and does not show wear as readily as aluminum can. This blade is a real pleasure to carry and I don't have to worry about loss or damage like I would for a 7007.
Great ergos!
Bought this for my brother. Fun flipper! Great quality. I'm very impressed. But dang it, now I have to get me one....or two.
Great, affordable knife!
Kershaw has a home run with this knife! Nice weight, not too light or too heavy. Bearings give it great action. It looks great, feels great in your hand, and the blade has a great edge shape. 8cr steel isnt that bad, never gave me any trouble and its easy to sharpen. Its not s30v or s35vn, but its serviceable and will cut things without complaint.
Lost a star because I'd like…

to see minimal liners to hold the stop pin. It should be fine, but I have worries that the G10 will wallow with use over time and the pin will get loose and fall out. Time will tell!
Overall, great knife, great price, good job Kershaw!
Great
Solid knife. Runs on bearing so this knife is EXTREMELY smooth. Smoothest knife I own actually. This knife is also rocking the carbon fiber lament which is beautiful. This knife is also very light, for a rather larger EDC blade this knife easily gets forgettable when in the pocket all day.
Great starter knife
This was my first entry into legit knife brands and I love it. My girlfriend got this for me for Christmas and I am very pleased with it. The bearings make the action feel great. The frame lock is so much better than a liner lock and overall the knife works great. My only complaint would be the steel but hey it was $45 at the end of the day.
Good!
Picked this up for my brother in law and we both were impressed by the quality for the price! Nice and lightweight too. Feels good in the hand and came pretty sharp.
Little room for improvements
Overall good size.
Smooth action ,good ergonomics . no blade play .
Light ro carry and love the deep carry clip.
The ehh not so good.
Little slick on the g10
And blade dulls fairly quickly at work.
Id buy again . price point cant beat it honestly.
Perfecto
I am new to the EDC community...I have a few friends who use knives every day for work. So many different knives I was actually overwhelmed. So, after my due dillegence, it came down to use, functionality, style and blade. I’ve read so many reviews with regards to a slew of EDC knives. Look, if you want a functional, well priced, not assisted, regular steel, sleek look, a fidget… read more blade that is sharp enough to cut basic things, this is your knife. Of course the action is a bit laborious right out of the box, man or woman up and keep opening it. I’ve had this knife for about 8 hours, action is great now. Blade is sharp enough to shave the hair from your arm! Great job Kershaw, thank you! Thank you to Blade HQ for giving so many parameters for my search.
Good knife for the price
While it is a good knife for the price, I do have some complaints. The lock bar is rounded on the inside and causes your thumb to slide many times while trying to close the blade. Also its natural to put pressure on the rear while trying to close which makes it even harder to close. So it can be frustrating. But the blade shape is great, opening is smooth and easy. feels great inland.… read more for the price its worth a shot to see if you like it.

New Kershaw Fan
I wont lie, my wife picked this out for me at our local knife store. The detent combined with the flipper action took some major getting used to. But once the technique was mastered the reliable opening, blade shape, handle materials, size and weight of this knife make it an incredible value. I like to sharpen my knives so the steel doesnt bother me in the slightest! Easily the…

best looking knife in my small, but growing collection.
(4 stars is only because the g-10 in my handle had some sharp edges, nothing a little sandpaper didnt fix)
Great for the money
I have a couple of issues with this knife but no knife ever seems to tick all the boxes. I have been wanting to try the sub frame lock knives and glad I waited for this CF model for the KVT bearing system. Has been my edc for a couple months and the edge retention is pretty good (was concerned about that) Love the bearing system makes it smooth and easy to open. Only complaints… read more is the narrowness of the body. I am use to hefty ZTs so this feels thin in my hands. Also the sub frame takes a little getting use to. Its easy to find a finger laying on the lock which creates drag when opening it but with practice I learned to hold it a little differant as to keep my fingers away from the lock. All in all GREAT knife especially for the price. Beginner or collector great knife to have. Hoping to find this in M390 or other high end steel some day but no complaints with this steel. Like it well enough that I will be buying the copper when it finally comes out.
The Manuel Natrix is fanfreakitastic!!!
I had loved the 777 design forever and all of its cousins as well but I hate assisted knives so I never got one, that's why I was stoked that kershaw was coming out with a manual one. I got mine and was surprised by just how great this thing is. The fit and finish is great, looks are great and the action is exceptional for a budget knife, granted I with the steel was better but… read more for the price you can't complain. It came sharp as heck, it was dead centered and lock up is solid. You can't go wrong with the manual Natrix!!!!
I like it!
Given the weight of this knife I thought it might feel a little flimsy Instead, it feels pretty solid. It has a moderate detente that predictably results in lockup when the blade is opened. It's a small knife that almost disappears when you wrap your hand around it, and the pocket clip is short. Neither of these factors bother me, but may bother some people. The CF onlays are attractive,… read more but very slick. The fuller gives the blade some style, but I would have preferred FFG. This is an attractive knife that will be even better when American made models with better blade steel arrive.
Not a $40 knife
It is a nice knife, just not worth 40 bucks. Especially from the same company that makes the insane value injection line($15). Blade centering is good, it's sharp, and feels ok in hand. Not the smoothest action, but it seems to be getting smoother with use. Blade and handles are thin making for a thin package to carry... IF you don't mind tossing 30 to 40 bucks on a knife that doesn't… read more look like it'll take much hard use. I do find it to be aesthetically pleasing, so I'm not upset to add it to the collection.
Unique knife
A very faithful, scaled down economy version of the Zero Tolerance 0777... well engineered with steel inserts in the G10 interior like the 0777, (though not carbon fiber like the 0777) the G10 scales are nice and thin, yet thick enough not to flex, keeping this knife extremely light. Mine arrived dead nuts centered with great lock up, deep pocket clip works fine for me. Blade size… read more and thickness is same as ZT 0770... only wish it was a bit better steel than 8cr13mov... The Natrix is a very unique knife, and may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I like it. Great job Kershaw!
Not Kershaw's Best
While I like the blade profile and the look of the liner lock, folks this is not Kershaw's best work. The blade is very thin, the scales are thin and feel cheap. The pocket clip is very small and heck the whole knife just seems, well like something more in the $20 dollar range. You may want to take a look before buying. Kershaw should have beefed this knife way up. A strike out… read more for me.
