Great little knife
I purchased this knife about a month ago and have carried it daily. I really like the light weight, the sharpness of the blade and the overall thinness of the knife. However today I needed to use a small tool to remove a battery but the knife was right there and rather than use a proper tool, I thought what the heck and used the blade tip to raise the battery. The tip of the blade… read more broke off. Advise to self always use a proper tool in the future. No fault of the knife.

I have so many knifes from so many companies. This might be top 3 EDC for me.
This knife would be absolutely perfect if they offered a normal size clip and not this gigantic money clip. 4 out of 5
So thin and light
This knife is so thin and light you could easily forget you're carrying it! Initially, I liked this knife, but I was on the fence about spending $125 for a manual open knife. Well, I'm really glad I purchased this baby because out of all the great blades I own I find myself going back to this one. It comes in at just a hair over an ounce, and is wafer thin. If you're in the market for a super thin, super light well built EDC knife I would check out the specs on this puppy.
Good to go
I really love this little thing. It weighs almost nothing and after a couple of days working with it the opening and closing is super smooth.
Ultra lightweight EDC
I got this one for my wife to carry. The construction materials and ambi-locking system were the major selling points. When it arrived neither of us could believe just how light it really was. easily be put away as deployed one handed, and 2) we live in Idaho, but have a lot of family in Washington. WA has some restrictive knife laws, and the SOG Ultra XR (SOG is WA based) fits the legal requirements.
What you get is certainly worth the price. I can easily recommend to just about anyone.
Ultimate lightweight edc
This is the perfect knife to bring to the gym or when you are out running or playing sports. This thing is my new favorite knife. The only thing I would change is it does have a little left and right blade play but for what you are getting it isn't a big deal.
Colorado geezer
I was looking for a money clip when I came across this knife. I rotate several medium size blades for edc, so I didn't really need another blade. I'm glad I got it. Perfect small yet effective edc. Light, sharp and not intimidating in an office setting. My only problem is that when I want to use the blade, I must remove the cash--so now I still need to get a money clip!
Gold Feather with an edge!
This Ultra is absurdly lightweight and disappears in the pocket. The gold finish on the blade is beautiful and very well done.
I was anticipating more flex in the scales for how thin they are but it is very sturdy. Once you play with it for a bit the XR lock breaks in and you can pop it open and closed with ease.
I got what I paid for
Went out on a limb and paid for a fancy SOG and I am not disappointed.
SOG was always a cheaper brand in my opinion but this knife has changed my mind.
The carbon fiber is flawless. The blade is flawless. The knife is unique. Product quality matches the price. Unbelievably light and thin.

A Great Start
The SOG Ultra XR is the first real knife I've ever purchased. The compact size and genuine style are what original drew me. But now that I have it, frankly I'm super impressed with the build. I thought a small knife might feel... cheap. Not at all. The Ultra XR is solid and feels comfortable in my hand. I absolutely love this knife. I carry it daily and it just disappears in your pocket and is razor sharp right out of the box..Is it a hard use knife? no , it's not but it still has no problems doing what I need it for on a daily basis. The only things I would change is a better quality of carbon fiber scales, these look like stickers to me even though they look good.. I think some really thin G10 or Micarta would be awesome. The pocket clip makes a great money clip so it doesn't grip your pocket as much as I would like but I haven't lost it yet. I would buy this knife again and when I do it will be the gold one. I really hope they keep this knife around for a long time and gradually make improvements to an already great ultra light EDC knife...
Perfect Credit card holder and backup knaf
Very light weight. Feels good in hand despite the thinness. Solid CF scales. Couple scratches on the gray blade finish that look like it was rubbing on the scales but can't seem to find any friction points. Don't expect a simple thumb flick open since, but thumb roll and pivot release allows free open/close. Well done. Perfect Summer Knife
This thing is so lightweight I forgot I have it. It is stupid sharp out of box. It is perfect for whatever you are wearing and can even dress up. I will buy the other color when it comes back in stock.
