The Para 3 takes all the proven features and benefits of Spyderco’s best-selling Para Military 2 and distills them into an even more compact all-purpose cutting tool. Its three-inch blade is Precision machined from premium CPM S45VN particle metallurgy stainless steel and features a full-flat grind for a superior balance of strength, point utility, and low-friction cutting performance. It includes a textured index-finger choil and thumb ramp that provide a solid purchase for a forward grip and offer enhanced control during precise cutting taSKS. A perfect EDC knife
This knife is really really nice and everything you'd expect from Spyderco in this price range. The fit and finish are superb and the action is buttery smooth. I'm new to the EDC knife world but I can say that this knife screams quality. I own a Paramilitary 2 and it is nice but it sometimes seems a little too big. This is my first nice EDC. The quality is noticeable. It’s fun to just flick open. It’s pricey but worth every penny. The excitement of ownership has not worn off. Some reviews said the g10 handles were too rough. False. This may be true for someone that has dainty hands. If you do maybe you should get a safety whistle instead of a razor sharp knife. #america

As someone who is an edge snob I have to say, “this knife is amazing”. The para 3 is truly a work of art and engineering, that mixed with the maxamet steel leaves you with an edc knife that you don’t have to sharpen very often. Excellent buying experience
Fantastic service and speedy shipping from DLT, as always. I'd been wanting to try out Maxamet for a while and the Para 3 form factor is perfect. I live in Houston where humidity is a problem, especially during summer. The blade picked up a nice patina pretty quick, but I've been treating it with EDCI and haven't had any corrosion issues beyond that.

As for the item. Great action out of the box. Little mod needed, deep carry clip, and the stuff disappears in a pocket!
Maxamet is awesome.
The para 3 maxamet is a great knife. The blade will stay sharp for an extremely long time. Make sure to coat your blade every once in a while with mineral oil or EDCi as maxamet is not a stainless steel. I’ve had no issues with corrosion in the months I’ve owned it.

Favorite knife so far. Carry it every day. More robust than para 3 lightweight if you don’t mind the little extra weight,this is a better choice.
Better Than Expected
The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was how thick and beefy the blade was. Unlike my Delicas and Endela, side to side movement is minimal, despite the usual tiny bronze washers. Why can't they put a decent sized washer in a knife like this? The washers in the Griptilian are massive and do a great job limiting side to side movement. Spyderco seems to often really focus… read more on ease of deployment, which usually means tiny washers that reduce friction, and a small amount of metal around the pivot area to reduce leverage when opening. This knife has a solid amount of metal around the pivot area. I didn't know if I would like the compression lock very much, but I like it. I would like it to be a little easier to push when closing the knife, but it also is used to hold the blade closed. It's already easy enough to open, so I don't want to lower the spring tension and then have it opening by accident in my pocket. This knife was tuned in a way that I would consider ideal for a brand new knife. It has only a slight amount of tightness at the pivot and I expect the washers to smooth out very quickly and give it a looser action in a few days. I plan to buy another one.

Love this little blade, fits in the pocket nicely, not too big not too small - jusssst right. This one ticks all my boxes for an EDC. The pocket clip sucks like all Spyderco blades, just throw a lynch deep carry on this bad boy and enjoy!
It was new , and I don’t use this knife
One time I take this knife on my shorts, and a half blade side in a closed position was on my skin, and after hour two the blade was black automatically I don’t like it and call text to DLT help centre and they are said me we don’t take used knife , The knife was knew and box everything , don’t buy maxamet steel and you must know no return from them !

Great build quality. Great steel. The sprint runs are nice but the basic black g10 version is excellent as well and easy to find.

The Para 3 is a really great knife, a downsized PM2 yet it is still a fullsize knife and sits light in the pocket.
Perfect Size
I've always been a fan of the Paramilitary 2 and the Para 3 is just as awesome in a slightly smaller package. I love the size, it's more convenient for EDC but still big enough for most tasks.

Para 3 is a great 4 finger knife. It has everything that ParaMilitary 2 has but in smaller package. Great tool for EDC carry. Fit and finish seems better than on ParaMilitary 2. Sharp of out the box. DLT shipped it asap and everything was as agreed. I am an international customer.
Good size, good lock, good steel
I wanted a knife with a 2.75"-3" blade made of 'premium blade steel', with G-10 scales, and a handy lock. The Para 3 was a great choice. The compression lock is awesome. There are four pocket clip position options. I wouldn't have minded a different color for the scales but other colors can be had, for a price.

For those who love the PM2, but sometimes require something just a tad smaller, look no further than the Para 3. The same quality and super ergonomics as the PM2, but in a slightly more compact package. I love mine. Great service from DLT Trading, too!

Para 3 does not disappoint. It came with no blade play, blade centering is perfect and edge is even and very sharp. DLT trading had this knife in stock when all of the other dealers showed the knife to be on back order. Shipped the same day that I ordered, and was received in two days. I highly recommend DLT and Spyderco both.

Kind of like a baby Para 2, but not quite. Almost the same size as a Sage 5. I wish it had just a wee bit deeper pocket carry clip. The position of the clip and the giant lanyard hole (does anyone REALLY use lanyard holes) make it ride a bit high. Fit and finish is excellent.
Inferiority Complex
We all know that the Paramilitary 2 is a Hall Of Fame 5 star knife. It just fits. It's just right.
Well, the Para 3 is the not-quite-as-right little brother. Don't get me wrong- it's a great knife, just not as great as it's older brother. It doesn't fit in the hand quite as perfectly. It feels, by comparison, just a liiiitle bit off.

sometimes the Para 2 feels like a little too much, a little too big, and a little too intimidating- so if I want to stick to the same system I can carry the Para 3.
It'll just never be better than it's bigger brother.
To put it another way- The Para 2 is on the short list of knives I'd put in my pocket during an emergency, the Para 3 isn't.
