Incredible Knife
I recently visited the DLT facility in Marinette. I looked at several fixed blad knives, but this one really stood out. The handle is super comfortable! It's not heavy on the handle, but it also doesn't feel cheap and light weight. The S35VN steel sharpens so nice on my diamond stones. I lowered the angle on the bevel to about 18 degrees per side which took some time, but when I was finished I was a little suprised how good the edge came out. I whittled my daughters hair quite easily, in fact I got 4 curls on one piece before it finally broke the hair. (see attached picture) I'm very impressed with the blade for sure, but equally as impressed with the handle. The wooden case it comes with is very cool, and the leather sheath is high quality as well.
The folks at DLT are very helpful and friendly as well. They were terribly busy shipping out knives, but did make time to show me everything I wanted to see.
