Nice slip joint

Kurt C.

I've carried slip joint knives for most of my adolescent life but switched to flippers, autos, OTF, etc as I grew older. I am an avid knife collector and thought this would be a good slip joint to have in the collection. It's a bit stiff to open and close but I'm sure it will loosen up over time. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase - nice, light, in the pocket carry knife.

Nice Little Knife

This is a solid little knife. Love having to deliberately open it although it isn't quite as satisfying as one handed methods. If I'm feeling nostalgic about grandpa or something this winds up in my pocket.

I'm always used flippers and stayed away from slip joints, but I figured I'd try the Benchmade slip. I don't regret my decision at all. This knife gave me a new love for more traditional knives! It quickly became a top EDC for me. Buy it!

Perfect modern traditional

The micarta scales feel very nice and are wearing perfectly. The blade is stiff enough to give good confidence when using it but still very smooth. The half stop also gives extra confidence.

Fantastic!

I love the look and feel of the micarta scales. This knife is a great carry option when you need a smaller blade to sit in the pocket. I bought this as an alternative for my Buck 055 which I have carried daily for years. These smaller knives are great for around the office or anywhere you would want a less intimidating blade. The ability to maintain this knife by disassembling is read more a differentiator compared to traditional knives of this style.

I really like it and you really need it

This knife reminded me of the folder my grandfather used to carry. I recieved it as a gift from my wife and i love it. From the feel of the micarta to the shape of the blade an incredible tool that sits discretely in the bottom of your pocket.

Fantastic Slip Joint

This is a great take on a modern slip joint. Its awesome to be able to take it apart and give it some TLC. Most slip joints don't have great steels, so having S30v is a great addition. As for the TLC, you will have to give it some. It needed some lubrication on its inside along with lightning of the pivot. The pivot was initially very weak and felt like it was going to close on read more my fingers. The only real downside is the blade is off center and won't fix itself.
