Based on Lucas Burnley's popular compact custom knife, the Squid is bound to be a hit, not just because of its accessibility, but also for the value and performance factors that CRKT brings to the table. This BHQ exclusive MODel utilizes a natural jade G-10 handle for added grip, and lightens the knife a whole ounce under the original. The stainless steel frame lock and a low profile pocket clip are both black coated. Thumb studs are utilized to deploy the spear point blade, which has jimping/grooves for added grip. Nice EDC
Great knife, although pretty stiff at first. Takes quite a bit of working in or adjusting. The handle is awesome, the blade is razor-sharp (or can get there) - but I own the Pilar Smokewash Exclusive as well & I find myself reaching for the sheepsfoot blade more often.
Clip is delivered on wrong side
Very nice little knife but can for the world of me not understand why the clip is delivered this way just feels so wrong pulling it out having to turn it 180 deg to flip it open.
Like the style but doubt it will ever become one of my fav knifes

Great little knife to have as an unobtrusive EDC. Fits in the pocket with other stuff and you can even put it in your 5th pocket. The detent was really strong on mine when I got it so I had to dedicate some time opening and closing it. The blade was nice and sharp as well as centered. The quality of this knife is great as well, no negatives from me. If you're looking for a weird little knife that is actually kinda cool-this is it.
Best small knife I've carried
I normally carry knives in the 3-4" range(UTX-85, PM2) but I wanted a small knife to carry in my tight af skinny jeans and this fit the bill. Overall a nice little knife. Blade was shaving sharp out of the box. Blade was centered. My only issue was the detent. It was STRONG and the blade was hard to open with one hand. Fun little knife with room for improvement
This was a fun knife to play around with and I like the design, but I do feel there are some things that could be better. The gimping on the blade feels like it needs to move up just a tad further beyond the thumb studs to feel more natural. The action on mine was pretty stiff out of the box but the centering was pretty good. My personal preference would have been to gone with G-10… read more for both sides of the scale. Mine has some lock stick so you have to load up on the thumb stud to get it open.
Nice Little Knife
The order delivered promptly and the knife had no quality defects. The blade is sharp and the jade handle is pleasing to the eye.
TANK
This Knife is a WORKHORSE. Small but packs a big punch. It may look like Ben but it hits like Iron Mike. An absolute steal. If you get a chance to buy this knife DO IT.
JADE
The G-10 JADE makes this great EDC even better. The JADE and contrasting black is strikingly beautiful. Apparently I am not the only one who feels this way as this is the second sell out is as many offerings.
A Classic
My favorite knife in this size range. I adore the design of the Squid which, simple as it is, I enjoy looking at as much as using. The curves are just right, and the jade G-10 with the black coating of the blade perfectly embody its cephalopod inspiration—very squid-like. Feels great in the hand and pocket. Fun little EDC
I love the overall size of the squid and it came very sharp. Locks up nice and easy to open. A few small things I didn't care for, it is much thinner than expected, which sort of makes it feel a little cheaper. I'm sure some people prefer that though. I don't care for the color either. kind of natural g10. I've dyed other g10 grips with success before, so maybe I'll just give this a dip to really make it that green color.
Other than those minor things, it's a great little knife for the collection.
Light weight EDC
Great little knife, super sharp out of the box. Very comfortable in the hand and has become my go to EDC. The D2 blade is robust and feels sturdier than my other squid.
Great EDC!
D2 is a great upgrade from the normal squid and the G10 scale makes it a lot lighter as well. The only problem is the lockbar somehow harder to access than the normal squid and there is a little bit of lockstick...

I love the Squid but Wish there was Better QC
I love the Squid. The design is almost perfect. I have owned 4 squids and I love giving them out as gifts. What I do wish though is that they have better quality control. Mine did come out sharp out of the box, but the action on it was not smooth and I had to clean and lube it before it was passable.
Awesome light weight edc
Mine showed up razor shape and ready to go to work.The natural jade G-10 is very nice. Great feel in hand.perfect lockup,strong detent. but centering on mine is a bit off .Wears well in pocket/watch pocket as well. D2 blade steel. CRKT you've done well and thank you Blade HQ for making this happen.

First knife but not the last
This was the first knife i've owned and am psyched for it. The Jade G-10 handle with the G-2 steel looks amazing. I can't help pulling it out of my pocket and admiring it. The blade is sharp and exactly the size i need for a daily EDC. Can't wait to increase my collection in the future.
Awesome EDC Blade
Great blade with a compact and slim design. Stylish without being loud. Great upgrades over the generic design format. Very sharp and slices great, firm lockup with a nice fit and finish. Probably one of the best lite-weight and pocketable knife options without sacrificing cutting force.

I just received it in the mail today and I must say that I am impressed. It had been a few years that I have bought a CRKT and the quality control is on point. It came sharp out of box, centered, and solid lockup. Also the action was a bit stiff but after about 5 minutes it loosened up very nice.
