These Knives have top-notch strength, corrosion resistance, edge durability, and design. Each is handmade, the work of trained, skilled knifemakers. The knife is a pleasure to look at and a thrill to use.Njord was the god of fertility in the Norse sagas and belonged to the Vanir clan. He was also the god of sailors and fishermen, and the ruler of Coasts and beaches. MOD. NL3 Njord is a strong, well-balance knife that is a joy to handle. It is hard to find a more attractive all-round knife, and its strength of course lies in the laminated VG10 steel.The Njord NL3 fixed blade is made with full tang laminated VG10 steel and specially selected ox-hide handles. The blade uses Fallkniven's VG-10 steel and the sides consist of tough 420J2 stainless steel, which combines remarkably high resilience, resistance to torque and edge-durability in a single blade. The ox-hide leather handle gives a sure and rugged grip and ages beautifully, acquiring an attractive brown patina through the yeARS. It is unaffected by oil and solvents and impervious to water.
