The knife is a pleasure to look at and a thrill to use.Frey was the god of peace in the Norse sagas, but also the god who rules over fertility and prOSPerity. He was king of trolls and elves, beings that until recently were an everyday part of life in the farming community. MOD. NL4 Frey is not merely a beautiful and neat knife - since the blade is in laminated VG10 steel, the knife is relatively strong, and not at all clumsy. The well-made leather handle darkens with age, acquiring a beautiful patina through use.The Frey NL4 fixed blade is made with laminated VG-10 steel and specially selected ox-hide handles. The blade uses Fallkniven's VG-10 steel and the sides consist of tough 420J2 stainless steel, which combines remarkably high resilience, resistance to torque and edge-durability in a single blade. The ox-hide leather handle gives a sure and rugged grip and ages beautifully, acquiring an attractive brown patina through the yeARS. It is unaffected by oil and solvents and impervious to water.
