Classy

I like this knife. The wood handle is classy. The cleaver / straight edge style blade is in style, and I have been trying to get as many types of those as I can. The lock feels good. My only wish is that is opened more easily, but it not difficult by any means. I got spoiled by flippers and spring assisted knives.

Cheap for a reason

To summarize: Construction is made-by-a-drunken-toddler level shoddy.

Blade thickness varies significantly along the edge, knife cannot be fully disassembled, lockup varies wildly. I'd call this a novelty knife, but it has found its way into my lunch kit as a beater steak knife.

Still, wholesale lack of manufacturing effort is disappointing, even at the sub-$20 price read more tag.

Bargain, and loveliest kitchen knife

I did not buy the Cuisine 3 for camp cookery but it’s design is highly suited to that task. I bought it ‘cause it was interesting and cheap. Sort of a giant Barlow. But it turns out not to be cheap. True, it’s a 440A blade, but that is fine for this sort of light duty kitchen knife. Handles are indeed rosewood. Ample grip, large “sheep foot”-like blade. One hand open and read more closing is smooth and easy and tight lockup, I had none of the break in issues the earlier reviewer had. Impressive and inexpensive chopper.

Worth the price, sort of

Its worth it for the price.

Mine wouldnt lock unless "flipped" out until the liner lock broke in a little, and now stick bad if engaged any more than lightly.

For $14, you get a big knife with a wood handle though, so why not?
