Which exact version is this?
1776OLSW, olive aluminum, stonewashed, current CPM MagnaCut production
Which opening system is on this Link?
Kershaw’s olive Link 1776OLSW uses an assisted flipper and a liner lock. The maker describes machined aluminum handles and a stonewashed blade for its pocket-carry folder. Its reversible clip supports left- or right-side tip-up carry; it is a different setup from the Bel Air’s manual crossbar system.
Why does the production generation matter?
Kershaw warns that earlier Link production used CPM 20CV, while the current maker page specifies CPM MagnaCut. The same 1776OLSW model label therefore needs a seller-side steel check before matching an offer. The maker’s 3.25-inch and 8.4 cm blade labels do not convert exactly, so both remain visible instead of being silently corrected.
What should I check before choosing?
1776OLSW has a documented steel-generation change: older inventory may be CPM 20CV. The catalog’s inch and centimetre blade labels are retained as printed and do not convert exactly. Ask the seller which knife it holds; no old-stock feed offer is substituted.
