Super EDC

It is nice to buy a product and feel that you have gotten more for your money than you paid. This is a great tool as well as just plain fun to carry. Very sharp out of the box and the action is as good or better than any of my other auto knives. Buy it, you can't do better.

Amazing EDC

I would love to give this knife 5 stars but I cant for one simple reason. It wasnt sharp. The primary job of a knife is to cut and this one barely did that. The rest of the knife is awesome, the action the fit and finish, the pocket clip, the ergos all awesome! I will say I do have another Gardian Tactical a Mini Helix which had a flawless edge. So I am sure this was a one off with read more the edge not being sharp however I still cant rate the knife higher.

Buy it

First off, my wife said I shouldn't buy it because she knows I have the tendency to spend a lot of money at BHQ. Naturally, I bought it because she told me not to... Couldn't be happier, I can't put this thing down. I own a few microtech ultratechs and utx 85s. I have to say, this is right up there with them. If not better. Don't listen to the wife, buy the knife.

Wasn't quite sure at first

I just received this knife today. I took it out of the box and I pushed on the high quality and nicely textured button to deploy the blade. It popped out about 2/3 of the way and stopped. I flicked my wrist and it fully deployed and locked in its extended position. I tried to retract the blade and about the same thing. It pulled about 90% of the way back in but the tip of the blade read more was still exposed. I had to flick the blade out and try again. This happened several times and was convinced the blade finish was dragging on the frame and preventing complete deployment. I tried it several times and was seeing this failure to completely open or close about one in every 3 attempts. I got out some Tuf Glide lubricant and put a drop on each side of the blade where the blade met the frame when the knife was deployed and after a few opens and closes things now seem to be working. It's a great size and weight, really nice blade that is very sharp. The button to open and close is smooth as butter. It's going to take me a while to see if I can trust it to open and close reliably.

Never write these but I what the hell....

So first things first, Im a LEO. I need my gear and edc stuff to be fail safe. Im a microtech guy, Ive had an ultratech on me for 10+!years, until now. Well kind of. My ultratech is now on my outside vest attached to molle and this is my new edc. Its about .5 shorter, 1/8 fatter than an ultratech- with the same size blade. The button is larger and much easier to find with gloves. read more The action is exactly like described in the video- combo of benchmade and microtech. I love this knife. Ive already cut zip ties and like any knife I had to work for it, its zip ties. But it was easy to find the button. Just buy it and if you dont like it, return it. Blade hq has an awesome return service, that was my original plan. But I did fall in love with the knife, and you will too.

4.5 out of 5

This OTF is different, which is one reason why I like it. The blade is thick for heavier tasks (and the design is very pretty yet standard) and the spring mechanism is very good. My only gripe is that for this price I'd like to see a better steel used like CPM-S35VN, CPM-20CV or other.

Nice otf
