The Kit Carson designed CRKT M16-01Z is a perfect small-sized every day carry (EDC) work knife. The Zytel InterFrame handle has 2CR13 stainless steel liners and CRKT's AutoLAWKS knife safety, which automatically actuates when the blade is open making it a virtual fixed blade. The handle is slim with black Zytel scales and a tip-down pocket clip.The CRKT M16-01Z features a hollow ground spear point style blade with a plain cutting edge and a bead blast finish. The blade is easily opened with the dual thumb studs or a push of the Carson FLipper. The Teflon bearings at the blade pivot and an adjustable pivot screw allow for perfect blade action.

A classic!
Greetings co-dependents.
Clean lines, a bit stiff to deploy till oiled & broken in, the safety takes some getting used to, as with all new knives the edge was a bit rough & required a more refined sharpening, but loving the quirks is part of what collecting is all about. A keeper.
Great knife!
This is a great bang for your buck! Easy to sharpen and keeps the edge too. Only pet peeve is the double lock. Hard to do one handed sometimes.
Good Knife at a reasonable price
About three years ago, I wasn't into knives. I wanted and EDC type knife, and I was in St. Nick's Knife Shop. I paid a little over $40 for this knife. I have bought several other knives since, but this is always in my rotation. The steel takes a sharp edge rather easily. The 8Cr15MoV or whatever (AUS 8 equivalent) is pretty decent. It is tough and takes a beating. I like the look… read more as well (sort of Stiletto design). The knife locks very tight. No blade wobble at all. The one draw back is the clip. The screws keep backing out of the holes. I constantly have to re-tighten them every few months. I will try blue locktite on them next time. The warranty is awesome....lifetime. The price and quality make this a great EDC.
