This CRKT Carson M16-14ZSF knife is designed especially for the service men and women serving in the Middle East and Afghanistan who require cutting tools that can stand up to the hARSh demands of the desert. The Zytel handle scales are Desert Camo patterned and the bead blast finished Tanto blade is non-reflective. The Kit Carson designed M16-14 folder utilizes CRKT's InterFrame with 420J2 stainless steel liners. The AUS 8 stainless steel blade has two Carson FLipper guards and a dual thumb stud for easy one-hand operation. The AutoLAWKS safety mechanism turns this folding knife into a virtual fixed blade when open. The pocket clip for the M16 is 4-way fully reversible for left or right-handed carry, tip-up or down.

OIF VERSION
I bought this version of the CRKT M16zsf at the PX in Iraq. It’s still a good strong knife. OC the last 14 years the tip has broke and the pocket clip fell off.
It is heavy and the hilt tabs poke you in your pocket, although that’s what makes it nice when in use.
Good, but not the best
Good knife. Strong large, and will flip reliably. However the little safety switch that keeps the liner from slipping can easily be bent. This is a moderate use knife, not hard use like CRKT advertise it to be
Haven't used it hard
Just got this knife in the mail. Good fit and finish for a budget tactical folder though the handle scales are a bit slick, it sits nicely in the hand with room to spare. The blade grind is In deed hollow but the initial edge is chisel ground. And one cool feature that i stumbled upon was that if you place the pocket clip in the " tip-up" position, the guard on the top of the blade… read more works in the same manner as an Emerson wave!

This is an amazing knife.
I use for my Everyday Carry, this knife never stops it has a great edge, and the opening is ultra smooth. has an extremely nice ergonomic handle. I love the overall design good job crkt. and thank you blade hq for an awesome product. people go buy one as soon as you can.
