Great Bang! for the buck

LOUIS A.

This is a really well make knife. There is only one sharp edge; that's the lower edge of the blade. And that edge was sharp out of the box. All the other edges on the knife are chamfered or slightly rounded. The lines of the knife are clean and simple. They flow smoothly from one to another so there are no sharp angles. It flips open without any problem and locks up tight. The jimping read more is nicely done and well placed. Price is excellent for what you get.

I just received my but I immediately put it to use to cut up a bunch of shipping boxes for recycling. It went through the cardboard without any problem.

My one nitpick is the "blue" color. it is much darker than the photos. It is more of an indigo color, much like Spyderco "blurple."

Excellent knife for an excellent price

This beautiful knife came razor sharp and the size, balance and weight make it ideal for EDC.

Flipper action was not perfect, felt a bit gritty when I manually made the blade travel. I put a little oil and it's good now. Being a tip-up carry worried me a bit but the detent is working fine. I got mine for $40! What a great buy.

Best EDC

Best EDC knife you can get with 50 bucks!

Amazing EDC Value

This knife honestly blew me away. Two years ago I was barely into knives and decided to buy a Kersaw Mini Copper Natrix over this. I enjoy the mini natrix, but the locking bar on mine is too difficult to close one handed and the flipper hurts after fidgeting. I should've gone with this blade. The G-10 feels great, the blade was razor sharp out of the box, so easy to open and close read more one handed. Mine came with the free lanyard from BHQ (a little too big for the holes on this guy but made it work). The packaging and presentation was amazing from China. It came with a fuzzy carrying case with a microfiber cloth as well. This, especially with D2 and G10, is probably one of the better value budget knifes besides the Ontario Rat 2 in D2 that will serve you well.

Great EDC knife

The Elementum has great aesthetics and is the perfect size for an EDC. Blade is perfectly centered, grind is even and consistent, and the flipper action is on point right out of the box.

Awesome Knife

What more can I say about this knife that hasn't been said in multiple other reviews? It's the perfect size, the action is great, it holds a great edge, and all for $50...try it out. This knife will speak for itself.

Great feel

Great EDC

Bought this for my daughters birthday. Wanted to get her a good edc. I had to open it and play with it before I gave it to her. Super smooth and perfect blade centering.

Tough and Spare

I got what I was looking for with my blue Elementum. The scales are tough and strong and an attractive medium blue. The blade is a shiny stainless steel, sharp out of the box. Lightweight, no extra stuff that would add weight to it. It flips open easily without fail, one hand. It doesn't snap open like many do and that bothered me at first. (Edit: I have owned the knife for a little read more while now, and I have broken it in. I put a small amount of oil on the pivot. Regardless of why, it does snap open now). This is an excellent buy for 50 bucks. I would definitely recommend it.

Favorite knife, but blue is a bit off

Let me start by saying that I own several Elementums in various materials. It is my favorite knife in my large and ever growning collection. Its everything I want in an EDC pocket knife.

That being said, this is specifically about the tone of blue on the scales. I was hoping for a nice royal blue indicated by the pic, but the actual color leans slightly towards the purple read more end of blue. A tiny nit pick, but color is important to me.

I figured, given the numerous options, this information might be helpful to those similarly picky about color.

P.S. I noticed someone mentioning the detent. Of the 4 that I have bought (+copper on the way), 3 had perfect detents, one (ebony wood) was a bit weak and didn't allow for a snappy flip.

Incredible Bang for the 50 Bucks

I can not say enough about how fantastic this knife is. For the price? Even more so. In my opinion, the Elementum outclasses almost any other knife at or around $50, and many knives under $100. I am consistently impressed by the snappy open, the edge retention, and overall fit & finish of this piece. The hype is real y'all. Unbelievable value. And to me, it definitely looks blue, read more not purple... I've had people call it a "Cubbies knife" (Go Cubs!)

Amazing

The quality of this knife is unreal for a Knife in the $50 range. Very well made. If I had a concern it would be with the steel. I like D2 in general - This is "Chinese D2" very clearly advertised as this - now time will tell how it hols up.
This was my second order from Blade HQ and I'm very impressed with their customer service. Got this delivered very quickly - I was surprised read more how quick they filled the order and shipped it. Will be buying more from them for sure and I would definitely recommend buying this knife.

Good quality, great price.

I'm a sucker for this color of blue. I was looking to buy an elementum before they released the blue model but as soon as I saw that it was coming soon I waited until I could snag one. I get great purchase on the knife and is very sharp out of the box. It's not a great flipper yet but I'm sure I can break it in over time. For the price this knife can't be beaten.

Great Blade for the $$$

So I've had this fora bit now and i have to say I'm impressed. Now if they made a 3.3-3.5" version i would buy multiple.

Pros:
-Good size for office carry
-great ergo's
-beautiful design
-super smooth action
-Jimping & front choil are perfect
-Blue as pic shows
-disappears in the pocket
-great case and cloth (added extras from civivi)
-good lock read more bar

Cons:
-detent is terrible, basically useless, lets the blade fall on the thumb way to easily.
-gravity fails very easily
-wish they used a better blade steel
-wish the scales were flush with the liners

Overall its a great everyday small knife. Would highly recommend for a budget blade that feels like a blade 2-3 times the cost.

Great knife

This little guy is amazing. Action is great. Comes out the box sharp. Not to much more I can ask for an EDC knife... Also for the person that said the blue is purple he needs to get his eyes checked lol Its Ben Blue for sure.

Best knife I have ever seen at this price.

The action is outstanding, the blade is a great shape, ergonomics are great and the pocket clip is one of the best to come with a knife out of the box for any knife, let alone at this price. This is seriously an amazing deal, I was considering getting some spyderco Para 3 knives to be giving as groomsmen gifts, but honestly the elementum may be what I go with. The only minor gripe read more is that this G10 is slightly darker than pictured. It isn't purple as another reviewer has stated (at least for me), but it is definitely more along the lines of royal blue than the light blue or "ben blue" as shown.

Nice knife, color not as pictured

Blue color is actually purple :-(

Disappointing

Simplicity, Value, Quality

For 50 dollars, its tough to beat the value and quality that this knife offers. Solid D2 steel, G-10 handle that isn't too grippy, an amazing, smooth action, and a sharp hollow grind. The overall construction and liner lock is rock solid as well. Cutting things with this knife is buttery smooth, and flipping it open is addicting. Maintaining the D2 blade is the only potential downside read more (D2 steel doesn't resist rust as well as other steels, so keeping it oiled is recommended). If the Civivi Elementum even slightly interests you, drop the $50. It's a straightforward, quality knife at a great price.
