Perfect EDC

This checks all the boxes. It's lightweight, has a great grip & feel in the hand (especially with the thumb grooves), and is sharp right out of the box. The only knock I have on it is that the flip motion that everyone raves about... I found it to be a bit overrated. It flips open just fine, don't get me wrong, but it isn't life-changing like some people made it out to be. Overall, read more a solid EDC for anyone's collection.

I love this knife. Its so light in the hand, and the blade is so sharp and can cur anything. I ended up rit dyeing mine purple and putting glitter paint on it and it beautiful. I recommend this knife to any and everyone. If your a beginner knife collector or just need a good knife for everyday use this is the knife you have to have.

What more can be said?...oh, swap the HW

After months of having to wait for the boatload of Elementums to arrive, this knife did not disappoint.
Pros: Fantastic production finishing, action, hollow blade grind, simple blade shape, price, size

Con: I found the black screws and clip were completely the wrong choice by Civivi, so I swapped all the satin hardware from my snakeskin micarta Hooligan, and now both knives read more look waayyy better (and it even fixed a poor lockup problem on my Hooligan:-).

This knife is inevitably going to become a standard (if not THE standard) in the budget realm to which other similarly-priced knives are compared. It is nearly flawless, and it provides the platform for all sorts of horizontal and vertical modifications in the knife food chain (think scales, hardware, blade steel, special editions - these are already well in play)...and hey...if you lose it or drive over it...just 50+ bucks to replace it with "Ooh, that one has cocobolo wood!"

Understated elegance

This knife has class. It isn't elaborate - just clean, simple lines, and in gray is not flamboyant. But the design is very elegant and makes other similar knives look garish by comparison. The size is just right for everyday tasks, the grip comfortable, and there is just enough texture to keep the grip stable even when sweaty. It is just small and thin enough to be unobtrusive in read more a pocket but when you pull it out you've still got a real knife. I wish the flipper was a teeny bit longer, but the mechanism is smooth enough that a slight wrist flick does the job reliably. This is my first Civivi knife but probably won't be my last.

This is a GREAT knife!

I picked this knife up for the looks, but I got so much more. This knife is light, easy to hold & SHARP! It is an easy carry in the pocket. The G-10 handles are comfortable & feel good in the hand.

It's an Elementum, Watson

Just received my knife (like an hr ago), and out of the box, the bearings on this are as smooth as every youtube video described. The G-10 is impeccable, centering is on point, and just a pleasure to hold and deploy.

Being the skeptic I am, it crossed my mind that the "5/5", "amazing", "What is this?", "unreal", reviews were a site-wide and industry-wide nudge to push a product read more on the customer... if so, it doesn't matter. Push more products like this on me.

This is my first purchase from BladeHQ (with many more to follow).

Thank you guys!

Somewhat disappointed

The G-10 is a little slippery to get out of your pocket. The clip loosened a bit since I've had it and doesn't hold the knife secure anymore and slides on my pants and has fallen out of my pocket once. The blade is extremely sharp and is holding an edge well. The action is super smooth but you need to be careful closing it not to cut yourself.

Civivi Shades of Gray

This knife is smooth and sexy. Fits nice and deep in my pocket. The blade is solid and came with great edge.

Smaller than expected.

The knife is smaller than expected but fits in my hand. The only drawback is when the liner lock releases the blade, there's no halfway point that stops the blade from hitting your thumb.

Compliments pockets well

Great knife for everyday carry. I purchased in July 2019, has not left my pocket since then. I spend most of my days in an office setting. The Elementum fits well in this setting with its deep pocket clip allowing it to hide well. The overall size and blade shape keep the knife from the intimidating the faint of heart. Slices well due to the thin thickness of the D2 blade. The knife read more starts to show its limits when working on the farm and when I needed to cut a lot of thin plastic for covering, resulting in some chips on the cutting edge. In conclusion, the knife is good enough to have a double in the collection, especially for the price but would avoid hard usage.

So good I had to buy two

Literally super impressed when opening the box. It comes in this nice zipper pouch with some stickers and a cleaning cloth. The knife fit and finish is near perfect, the action is so smooth it is almost drop shut. I am a sucker for the gray color as well, looks really good and aesthetic. I think this is about the perfect size for EDC, comes with a deep carry clip, did I mention read more the great action? Literally after flipping this knife a few times within 10 minutes I ordered a second one. This is an excellent buy for only 50 bucks.

Close to Perfection

Love everything about this knife. The action is buttery smooth. Love the g-10 scales and the deep carry clip. For what these things are going for it's not a surprise that they are sold out! Don't sleep on these!

Everything It Should Be

I purchased the CIVIVI Elementum to see what all the buzz was about and was prepared to make concessions for the price point that the knife was built to. The Elementum is better than the sum of its parts, (G 10, D2, steel ball bearings and stainless steel liners). Fit and finish, ergonomics and action are stellar. The design, though minimalistic, is terrific. Well worth the fifty read more bucks.
