About Microtech Ultratech D/E OTF Automatic Knife OD Green CC (3.4" Black) 122-1OD
This Ultratech features a double-edged dagger blade with a black finish and plain cutting edges. It has a contoured, OD green anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle with a black finished pocket clip, glass breaker, and stainless steel hardware. Microtech equipped this version of the ever popular Ultratech D/A OTF knife with a smooth, contoured handle design that promotes increased comfort during use. This updated MODel provides the same dimensions, hardware, and durability offered by the "Tri-Grip" variation, but goes easier on the hands and pockets. For those unfamiliar with the Ultratech, it's a fully automatic knife with a double-action out-the-front mechanism, meaning the thumb slide deploys the blade and retracts it as well. Microtech Ultratech OTF OD Black Hardware
I've had another Ultratech, UTX-85's, and a UTX-70. The deployment button on all but the UTX-70 are stiff enough and rough enough (rough metal) that I need a bandaid on my thumb to protect my skin. No big deal. The quality of these knives is superb, in a word. Some say the pocket clips are stiff, but I can pocket any of these with one hand, and I can't do that with some premium… read more knives. To a former Army guy, the OD green and black hardware and blade are beautiful. The blade size is good at 3-3/8", and the handle size is perfect for normal handheld cutting chores. Anyone who likes automatic pocket knives would be thrilled to get one of these as a gift.
Wow
So got this yesterday, all I can say is wow. Amazing construction and workmanship. The look and feel of the ultratech is way more then I thought it would be. I haven't put it throught its paces just yet but when August comes around it will be spending 3 weeks in the Canadian wilderness, with the military so we will see.

I had a difficult time pulling the trigger on such an expensive knife, but I must say, I am impressed. I have played with OTF's before, but never really felt like they had real world usability until I picked up this knife. This blade is wicked fast. The color on the OD green with black hardware just screams sexy. I love it. My one and only complaint on this knife is the carry clip. Stiffer than any clip I have ever used, tears my pocket up pretty good. Other than that, I love this knife.

This blade is simply fantastic! Easy to carry, looks good in the pocket, impresses your friends when out, and ready for action if needed!
