About Microtech Ultratech D/E OTF Automatic Knife Red (3.4" Black)
This Ultratech features a double-edged dagger blade with a black finish and plain edges. It has a contoured, red anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle with a black finished pocket clip, glass breaker, and stainless steel hardware. Microtech equipped this version of the ever popular Ultratech D/A OTF knife with a smooth, contoured handle design that promotes increased comfort during use. This updated MODel provides the same dimensions, hardware, and durability offered by the "Tri-Grip" variation, but goes easier on the hands and pockets. For those unfamiliar with the Ultratech, it's a fully automatic knife with a double-action out-the-front mechanism, meaning the thumb slide deploys the blade and retracts it as well. Beautiful OTF
If you want the best OTF get a Microtech. I actually bought this Ultratech D/E in red for my wife and now I want one for myself. The finish is beautiful and fires smooth and fast. I think the color is more burgundy than red and I'm very happy with it.
Love it!
Ive wanted to get one for a long time and finally talked myself into it. Its the most Ive ever spent on a knife by far. The action is amazing! Ive fired it at least 300 times and has never failed to lock. Will buy another microtech in the future. This red and black color combo is sick! Go Dawgs!
Hard smooth action, great finish
First Microtech Ultratech. The action is smooth and hard. The satin finish on the handle is a dream, although I cant imagine it holding up on drops on hard floor. The glass breaker is something I know want in all my knives. Only minor issues is that the edge was not as sharp as I expected. Also not sure about if sharpening it myself will give me warranty issues.
